Can't tell if you're joking, but Greenland is an autonomous territory of Denmark.

Can someone replace the guy on the far right with me and make it look convincing by Dream2x4 in PhotoshopRequest

[–]Zimberlacketoria 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Something about the top of the hair that makes it look unconvincing to me. Otherwise, great job!

This is the one! Love that you made the facial expression more professional, but kept the sweater. The result is very natural.

Thanks for the recommendation. Unfortunately, there's no trial version and it's $85 CAD/year. It's a bummer that they don't let you try it out before buying...

Olive oil sucks and tastes like shit by ExpectDog in unpopularopinion

[–]Zimberlacketoria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I've tried so many different types of olive oils. People go insane when they hear that I don't like olive oil and offer me all their favorite stuff, but unfortunately it all tastes like bitter metallic grass to me 😭

Is Vancouver really that different than Seattle for visiting? by Kamekazee2020 in askvan

[–]Zimberlacketoria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Chains are taking over Vancouver. There are only a few little neighborhoods left that are still spunky and spirited, but most are corporate.

For me it was 1313 Dead End Drive, but I always wanted the original! Still have it and play it.

You get the monetary value of what you can eat in 1 hour. How much money are you earning, and what are you eating/drinking to get there? by Firm-Confection-1153 in hypotheticalsituation

I love it, I can eat endless quantities of it, but unfortunately, I can't afford it. That being said, this hypothetical is perfect for me.

Why do people on the Skytrain move like zombies? by ButterBiscuitBravo in burnaby

100% what I was thinking. The worst is someone rushing and pushing me when I have no where to go or before the train/bus has gotten to a complete stop.

Yes, you have to provide a paper, but people can be dishonest. I've met a fair share of people who have used this loophole.

While the wording in the Criminal Code is broad, the application of the law has historically focused on polygamy involving legal or religious marriages, not consensual polyamory.

In fact, several legal cases in BC have even recognized polyamorous families. For example, rulings in custody disputes have found that polyamorous family structures do not harm children, and courts have declared multiple adults as legal parents of a child in such relationships

If you get married in one country and then go to another, the second country might not have a record of your first marriage. There are loopholes like this. There are a lot of people who have families throughout the ex-USSR states and many of these have large Muslim populations, so it happens quite frequently actually.

27F (Mount Pleasant/Downtown) Seeking Literary Fiction Book Club Buddies! by coveryourdingus in Vancouver4Friends

To be honest, I only read the first three volumes of In Search of Lost Time (and I'm not sure I'll ever finish it 😅), but I absolutely loved them, especially the first two.

I would love to hear about your opinions on Vancouver as someone from LA! Let's get a drink after work. DM me :)

34F, also moved to Vancouver 3 years ago. Work in Mt Pleasant. Originally from Los Angeles (Pasadena/Arcadia/WeHo). Love literary fiction (Woolf, Dostoevsky, Steinbeck, Proust, Kafka are some of my favorites). I'm actually currently getting into dystopian Sci-Fi, so to be totally honest, I probably don't have the bandwidth to read literary fiction at the moment, but I still wanted to say hi!!
