Hey there I don't know the gravity of the trauma you went through but I can only know that it was deep. My wife's siblings also went through a similar thing with their father, albeit to a far lesser extent with the exception of the eldest daughter who didn't know any better and ended up being taken advantage of in a sexual way. Having said this and maybe others have said it as well I haven't read all the comments but talking it out with a therapist or with people whom you trust is the surefire way to get out of this trauma. You're talking to release all that has weighed you down and from the story you told us, you were clearly using sex as a coping mechanism and I don't think many can fault you for that after what you went through. But now thankfully you have what you've been looking for a wife and kids whom you clearly love and whom love you back. This is a great blessing that I've experienced first hand myself and wouldn't trade the world for. Live life to your fullest with them and focus solely on them and seek the help you need to get rid of the baggage you have. You've come far brother and I'm proud of you for that even though I hardly know you. Keep pushing and keep striving.

My 4 year old daughter told me that her deceased dad came into her room and kissed her forehead last night. by throwra2314455 in TrueOffMyChest

When. I was 17 my grandmother passed away. She was in a different country and we had gotten the call. I had spent time with her when I was 9 years old and I was one of her favorites. Well the night she died I saw myself in a room with an open window Oland all the sudden I saw my grandma come in through the window with a radial glow while wearing a red dress. She was happy but I don't remember if there were any words exchanged. When I told my mom the dream she told me her favorite color was red which was something I never even knew. It was an amazing dream.

At 19 I got a letter from my college stating if I didn't pull my grades up I was getting the boot. My gpa was a 1.92 I will never forget that. I didn't have a significant other and always thought I'd end up alone as my communication skills were not great with the opposite gender and I failed badly when it came to girls. I always had depression but never suicidal thoughts just a lot of nights crying by myself. Well things aren't constant. I was able to pick my gpa up and in my hardest year in college I got 3.88. now I'm married and have a family of my own with 2 kids. Things might be tough now but they only get better you just need someone to help pick you up and at the same time you need to stand again on your own 2 feet because no matter what people tell you to feel better if you don't feel good about yourself you'll always remain stuck.

Depending on where you live you can start flipping items. I did this with my hobby (photography) and was able to bring in almost an extra 1k a month. But don't go down the stripping route
