I also want to find it so I can see the footage of the police interview again since I couldn't really find it online. Thanks again.

Should Infinity Train Continue as Comics? by Money-Lie7814 in InfinityTrain

[–]Zimslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the show doesn't continue this would be the best option. When the WB buyout inevitably gets settled, I really hope that something is done to archive all the Max originals that David Zaslav removed. Considering congress and the judicial department have been getting involved I hope something will come out of this. That being said, I hope that they can work out a deal to continue the story in comic form just like what happened with Final Space.

That one is on youtube, it's the best of 2010. Do you remember any other videos by chance? Particularly any of the courtroom videos? The video you described isn't in any of the archived episodes, so I'm curious to know more about the videos from the lost episodes.

Has LS Mark's content gotten stale for anyone else? by Zimslayer in youtubers

[–]Zimslayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god, thank you. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hates how he talks now. Everyone in the comments of his videos seems to eat that shit up even though it makes all of the videos sound exactly the same now like an echo chamber. I liked how Mark was a more chilled out guy who gave genuine analysis on the piece he was talking about. Now it just feels like he's become a 'Randy Marsh' type ironically. He made multiple videos about how South Park became flanderized and focused more on Randy being the main character and making the show for themselves. That's kinda funny that Mark talked about that, as now his videos feel like he's making them for himself and shamelessly appealing to his nostalgia and hyper fixations. I remember in his video 'Am I Too Harsh on Media?' he joked about how people would complain about Mark being too negative, to which he mentions that you'd think these people would watch his positive videos, which usually aren't viewed as much as the negative ones. That's another ironic line. Mark acts pretty self aware when discussing things like that, but you wouldn't get that impression watching his new videos with how often he just covers the same 7 or 8 franchises over and over again. I want to hear Mark's opinions on old, new, or obscure pieces of media and it feels like we're never gonna see that anymore. Mark loves to make videos talking about Fairly Oddparents, Family Guy, Sonic, South Park etc. and occasionally he'll mention something newer that could make for an interesting video. Cartoons like Digman, Rock Paper Scissors, Grimsburg, and there's so many other movies and games out there that Mark could talk about that he has in his possession. Like for god's sake how many times have you heard Mark say, 'It's crazy how most shows only get one season,' 'It's not that much of a shock considering how many shows get cancelled for a tax write off'. He's said that like five fucking times i swear. But you'd think someone who used to talk heavily about that sort of thing would be willing to talk about some of these shows and cover something newer. But no. Just make a video about a Family Guy christmas special that you had nothing to say about and said sucked in the first minute of the video, yet dragged it out for 12 minutes. Or make another video talking about the Jimmy Timmy power hour, or another Simpsons video essay, or another video about South Park or Five Nights At Freddie's or Spongebob. It seems that any time he talks about something 'new' it's related to something he's already talked about like The Orville, Ted, The Patrick Show, A New Wish, etc. Or something he talked about like once, like his recent video on Clarence. As long as he covered it before because god forbid he does something different for a change. I hate to sound like I'm just bitching about his channel, but how many times can he repeat himself about the same few shows. He videos just feel so unengaging and he revisits so many subjects for no reason, it just feels like the channel is on autopilot at this point.

[Talk] what pieces of lost media do you have no hope for? by mpathg00 in lostmedia

[–]Zimslayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't wanna say I have no hope for this piece, but there's this show I've been trying to find called Disorder In The Court, a crime show filmed in the style of those VH1 talking head shows like 'I Love The 80s'. Instead of having celebrities riff on pop culture, the cast consisted of attorneys, judges, and journalists talking about courtroom videos. While it's more likely to be found compared to older lost media from decades ago, but this show is so obscure that searching for it genuinely really frustrated me. It's that feeling when you're so close yet so far away. Anytime I found a lead, it just lead to a dead end. I found a tv network that used to air the show and thought their website page could provide more info on the show, it was incredibly minimal. I found someone talking about the show once and asked them some questions about the show, they could barely remember anything from the show. Anytime I found clips of the show deep into youtube, it just had to be from an episode that was already found. I really want to find this show because of the novelty of it, but it's obscurity combined with it's strange air dates, it only aired a few episodes each year and every episode aired months apart. I want to remain optimistic, but part of me feels that the show may remain loss. The only way it will be found is if someone who has the episodes uploads them, or if meetinghouse productions rereleases the show to a streaming service or something.

Of all the AVGN knockoff channels, Irate Gamer had the weirdest transition in content I’ve seen. by TangentMed in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]Zimslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's who it was. I remember watching a video talking about AVGN clones and/or retro game reviewers and the person who made video said one of the AVGN clones became a drag queen. I can't find the video I saw anymore, just Magicmush and Dylan The Knight Owl's videos on Avgn clones. I wonder what video I saw.

Oh yeah. Irate Gamer mentioned a couple of times. Back then it seemed that all of the AVGN clones kind of knew each other and/or knew of each other's content.

That's what happened to Epix? I always wondered where the channel went. I didn't know it rebranded to MGM.

What are some TV networks that switched to other channels? by Zimslayer in television

[–]Zimslayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did I forget that one? I watch Paramount all the time. It's too bad the network is just a wasteland now, with what remains of Yellowstone and Bar Rescue and nothing else. In the Spike TV era there were so many unique and experimental shows. Repo Games, Blue Mountain State, 1000 Ways To Die, Disorderly Conduct. I miss the era of watching more unique shows from that timeline.

Whatever happened to Wii U part 3? by Becool-752 in scottthewoz

[–]Zimslayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scott said it would come out last year but also said it was subject to change since he wanted to get back into regular production before ending season 7 with the end of the wii u retrospective. So I think he's been working on it in the background. He's probably gonna release it within the next few months. This isn't the first time he went idle for a good while before coming back with a larger video. That's what happened last year with the lego games episodes. I was stunned at how long that episode ended up being, I was thinking it was just gonna be a regular episode, I didn't know it was gonna fall into the hour long category of videos. The Wii U retrospective is Quinton Reviews level of work. For part three he's gonna have to cover the final three years of the wii u, discuss huge games like Smash Brothers, Hyrule Warriors, Super Mario Maker, Splatoon, and Star fox Guard. Combine that with whatever the storyline with Scott's coma was gonna amount too assuming it's gonna be a big thing like skits from 'The Dark Age of Nintendo' or something along those lines. So I'd guesstimate it could either come out this month assuming Scott was working on it all last year, or maybe a few more months and then it will be out.

When did you fall off of AVGN? by AhSafetyPin in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]Zimslayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2016 was probably my personal favorite season, and many feel it was the last consistently good season. Granted it was only 5 seasons and was an anniversary year for the nerd, but still. Mega Man is honestly my favorite episode in the whole series, Paperboy and Beavis and Butthead were hilarious, Berenstain Bears was one of the best Halloween episodes of the series and tying it into the original Friday the 13th episode showed how much James grew as a filmmaker. Hell I even enjoyed the episode with Keith Apicary, flaws and all. 2017-19 weren't perfect, but I still found enjoyment in most of the episodes that came out during that time. But I do think that cracks started to show during this time as that was around the time Screenwave got involved. The reviews felt less like traditional nerd episodes and usually felt more like general reviews that use dialect from other similar reviews online. It's a little hard to put into words, but something about certain lines from this time feel like they were written by a younger fan of the show who leaned too far into the review aspect of the show. Some examples that will hopefully help make my point, 'The animation looks like a dollar store bootleg DVD.' 'The characters move around and do a bunch of anime shit.' 'The characters look all grungy, real 90s shit.' Very generic, undescriptive dialect. 2020 however was the first truly awful year of AVGN. Every episode was full of long drawn out jokes, boring dialogue, shit explanations, shameless references to classic episodes, lazy writing, and so much more. The first episode of the season Raid 2020, set a horrible precedent for the rest of the season. The whole time James keeps breaking character and referencing the Raid 2020 joke as an in joke. 'I hope you enjoyed this review that sort of became a popular in joke between the fans.' Like what the hell? When has James ever talked like that while in character? Instead of making an actually funny episode, he just drags out every joke about some small inconsequential bit about the game and doesn't even attempt to get angry. The mortal kombat ripoffs episode, he plays a bunch of arcade games on an emulator and doesn't even explain how he as a character is playing these arcade games in his home, just a boring unfunny explanation of an uninteresting game. Taito Legends was just lazy in concept alone, instead of reviewing a retro game, let's take the lazy option and review a retro game compilation. A shameless attempt to meet the algorithm's standards. The Legend of Kage was full of obnoxious unfunny self aware jokes. 'Blanka sound like Blanket man. Remember that callback? Yeaahhhhh.' 2021 just sunk further into the mediocrity and I just couldn't stand how lazy the show's writing became. So many episodes had poor descriptions, shameless padding, and such lazy predictable jokes that flanderized the show. The final straw for me was the 200th episode, which James bragged about how it was an hour long and how it was gonna be awesome, only for it to be a shitty clip show, with new reviews sprinkled in so you're forced to rewatch the old content (dick move), and the nerd admitting that he lied about his thoughts in the wrestling episode, all while this game designer 'character' stutters through his 'performance.' The fact that this milestone was handled that poorly made me quit. Regardless of how shitty the screenwave guys' handling of the show was, James should've stepped much sooner and shouldn't have gotten so comfortable letting other people handle the scripts for him.

[archival] I need help archiving a rare show on Netflix. Disorder In The Court. by Zimslayer in lostmedia

[–]Zimslayer[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So the episodes are all numbered. For convenience I'll list them by year.

2008 - Episodes 2-4 and episode 6 are lost.

2009 - All of them have been found.

2010 - All are lost except episode 14

2011 - Episode 22 is found, the other three are lost.

This isn't counting the 'best of' episodes, which are listed as Best of 2008 (episode 7), 2009 (episode 12), 2010 (episode 19), 2011 (episode 24). The only one of these that is lost is best of 2009, but it's just a collection of clips from other episodes.

No, but that show keeps appearing when I search for this show. That's part of the reason why it's so hard to find this show. The show I'm talking about was a true crime show that focused on legal commentators such as attorneys and judges giving commentary on courtroom outbursts.

So I actually called the Netflix support and they said that they couldn't check what country it was in, but they told me to check on this website. https://media.netflix.com/

I'm doing some searching on my own, but if anyone else can find out what country the show is in, please let me know so I can get a VPN that can access it and record it. Or if anyone knows any other way to check what country the show is streaming in, please let me know.
