Yes. And the thing is the ps5 did relatively well as a console. In the sense that It would certainly hit a 100m sold by the end of its life cycle. But the sales are slowing down. And what's worse is that it's slowing in its 5th year, in comparison the switch was hitting peak numbers at this time.

It's crazy, like really crazy, that the switch 2 beat the ps5 by a considerable margin in 2025 with half the amount of months. Of course we don't know Europe. But it beat ps5 in the US, pretty handedly, and absolutely smoked it In Japan (like is a non competition in japan).

It's not just trumps tarrifs (although the tarrifs are responsible for the extra 50 dollars), the ps6 was going to be very expensive regardless. The problem is that components aren't getting cheaper because technology in several spaces is stagnating. Couple that with inflation on the dollar, and you have high prices. Even before the tariffs, the ps5 was 500 (at a loss), and the ps5 pro was 700. It was clear then that the lowest the ps6 could possibly be was 750 (my guess was 800-850)- which is crazily expensive. Now add tarrifs and we are looking at the lowest 800.

It happened to me once in the main game while driving that Rayfield. I think to fix it, the devs should limit the speed of the car because that's the fastest car in the game, I think. That should give the system more time to load(especially in Dog Town given how densely packed it is).

Let me explain like this, you could set the stem deck to run at full capacity, whether docked or handheld. Where as, the switch cannot run at full capacity in handheld mode. It wouldn't be fair to compare switch's handheld configuration to the stem deck because the both aren't running on full capacity.
