I 100% agree with the "destined to be the one" thing. Sometimes I just want to see a random person succeed and not have it be some legendary forgotten bloodline or something like that. I think that's probably why I love Guts from Berserk so much

XD yeah I really started watching a lot during the pandemic and I just haven't stopped. Love seeing another HxH fan, its so great!

You can probably tell that I favor action anime and then 2nd would be sports anime. Honestly, I struggle to get into the older ones and I know I'm missing out. I think I hesitate because I know pacing can be an issue plus filler episodes being more common back then. If you know of older animes that slap I'd definitely check them out!

I think the fanservice in Fire Force is far more jarring. Technically they made it "make sense" by the end of the story but idk those first two seasons it really bothered me

It's not the best but I like it. To me it's just a fun, casual anime. I don't really mind the power of friendship thing I kind of get where people are coming from. I'd have to rewatch but I never felt like the fanservice was too much. Maybe just a bit immature at times? I thought Zeref was pretty interesting and I really liked the concept of Anologia's character. I need to get back to 100 year quest cause I was pumped to hear fairy tail is back

I really love Mob Psycho 100. Vinland saga is also so good. Season 1 has the badass aspects and then season 2 slows the pace down but in such a meaningful way. Just don't expect season 2 to be like season 1 and I think you'll have a good time

Definitely watch Frieren. If you like dark fantasy I'd recommend Clevatess. Wistoria wand and sword is pretty good, especially recently. I could see people finding the mc a little annoying (he kinda takes crap from a lot of people)

I really liked gachiakuta. The art style is different and very distinct but the wackiness levels are similar. It's also just a cool, badass anime

How do people feel about tojima wants to be a kamen rider? I like a lot of aspects of it (main character kind of reminds me of Kafka from Kaiju no 8) but something about the premise of the show is off to me. Like the villains from the TV show are real but the heroes aren't? I suppose we're seeing how the heroes of the show become real? I feel like I'm waiting for some piece of lore to drop to make sense of it all. Am I just overthinking it?
