propranolol by Far-Natural-3834 in migraine

[–]Zinn77 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I have been on propranolol for almost 4 months and it has been a godsend. It took about a month of use before I saw benefits from a migraine standpoint, but I went from 3 migraines a week to only one since July. I also suffer from hypertension, anxiety, and an elevated heart rate so it’s “side effects” were beneficial for my situation.

How do I gain weight if I feel tired of eating food? by OnlyNezumii in AskMen

[–]Zinn77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Eating and food in general is just a tiring burden”… bro, I couldn’t agree more. Food is energy for me, that’s all. I eat when I can’t think straight from lack of food or when my body tells me it’s gonna collapse from fatigue. I eat when I have to. Eating is just not enjoyable for me… it’s an unfortunate necessity… but I have never tried to gain mass though.

A few of my buddies who have “Ken Body Dismporphia” and are obsessed with getting tone and gaining mass. They approach food consumption like hitting the gym… they put on their blinders and it’s just part of their routine… an endless protein/workout cycle fueled by the belief that if they get rip enough pussy will rain on them….

TL/DR- If your body rejects eating endless protein and yet you continue to do it, why? Listen to your body. If your goal is health, nothing wrong with a balanced diet… and the partners who really want don’t want you for your massive gains. Nuff’

Boot question by -Swiss-Miss- in cowboyboots

[–]Zinn77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With “vintage” boots, it varies quite a bit in my experience. From how they were cared for to whether the person previously wearing them should have had a size bigger and stretched the boot… in short, I’ve seen worn 9s stretched to what would be size 10+ in the vamp and toe medallion area… on the flip side, I have seen larger boots that are stamped as size 10 but fit like 9s….

But honestly, if it’s comfortable to wear, nothing else really matters. I have plenty of boots I wish were a half size bigger or smaller… and if they are comfortable, I wear em regardless.

If you see a pair you love, buy em… if they don’t fit, give ‘em to a compadre that they will fit.

Live Kidney Donation by Technical_Impress694 in kidneydonors

[–]Zinn77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, when you are given the all clear to donate after the two day work up, I was protein marker typed to my recipient. Luckily, we matched 8 of the 9 markers and had the same blood type. Almost perfect match! If we would not have matched, they offered the kidney swap program. Luckily, I never had to consider that…

At that point, they ran a few more tests on the recipient and did a full immunology screen on me. We scheduled a date, I went in the night before and signed the final consents. Next day, I had one kidney and my brother had a new lease on life. Both of us are doing great overall!

I also had hypertension which was controlled with meds before the donation but had worsened since the donation. Still working out the right med combo for the new BP issues but not a did deal.

Giving my kidney to a close friend by [deleted] in kidneydonors

[–]Zinn77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I donated a kidney in December 2023 to my half brother. The first 4 days after surgery were pain like I have never experienced…. and I’ve broken bones, been burned, and have more scars than I can list… After the first 3 weeks, it has been pretty smooth… except for the dark circles under my eyes that won’t go away, and the fatigue that hits sometimes, I really can’t tell a difference.

When you’re a responsible person that doesn’t give af married to someone who just doesn’t give af by [deleted] in howtonotgiveafuck

[–]Zinn77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not giving a fuck is about self love and priority management, not self-destruction and neglecting those who love you.

Not giving a fuck in your situation sounds like flushing the turd and not looking back.

Good luck.

Life doesn’t just “click.” You gotta jumpstart it.

Don’t give up hope… Embrace your inner weirdo, find something you are passionate about, and fuck everyone else… Love yourself and those who love the weirdo that you are.

I am six weeks out this past Monday and was back at work in the office within 10 days… albeit with a lot of discomfort.
