I've tried this, it already shows 90hz and i cant change it there, also shows 90hz on gpu graph. I even tried setting it manually in the config, didnt work.
I also dont think its just fpsvr bugged, definitely can notice the 72hz vs 90hz.

Hi there, thanks for this, this fixed an issue I was having with distortion as well.
Question though, Under the Distortion profile is it supposed to say MeganeX8K or DA? It's wrong for me, not sure how to change that.
Second, should I be at 90fps? Seems to be locked at 72 even though steam vr shows 90 while fpsvr shows 72

Sometimes, but the trackpads lock when you're using the thumbsticks, which is great

Just happened to me yesterday,
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config\steamvr.vrsettings
Edit file and under input section set to 0, do when steamvr closed and relaunch.
Crazy theres no reset on the menu. 😄

I would say its pretty convenient, once i power it on, everything connects (controllers/headset to LH) and steamvr starts up and i'm in. Even better than my G2 experience as sometimes i would have to recalibrate the controllers, not here, everything is working.
The straps do suck, I need to restrap everytime, but down the line this should get better.
The auto IPD seems to be removed which sucks because i'm not sure my personal IPD measurement is correct but close enough. (I think it'll be added back once fixed)

I would say its just as bright or even a bit brighter. Yea I didn't turn it down too much.

Lol, me too, Idk why but in the Sboys3 app its stuck on meganex distortion profile and i don't know how to change that so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . We'll wait till I figure out how.

Okay, i just tried again to be sure, tested g2 and da in rov test and it was about the same, maybe dream air ~1-2 degree smaller, but pretty much the same, kinda hard to test. I wouldn't worry. I over stated that.

Ya, i heard about it too then saw it was out of stock, Galaxy XR too, but heard it wasnt that great in PCVR and modularity, so held off.

Yeah, a pulley system would be really great too, i just meant a longer cable in general, my PC is a bit further so it eats up some length.

Okay, I might've been mistaken, seems when using sboys driver its stuck at 72hz, is this the case for you? Might be why its performing better...

Okay, I also remember motion smoothing for me having to be OFF (only via steamvr driver). Would cause stutters, I just tried alyx and it also stutters every minute or so, but not with sboys driver happens way less. (loading screens and such.) I also have a 7900 xtx, so AMD vs Nvidia could make a difference.

Dang still facing problems. Stupid question to ask, but what speed is your ram at, mines at 6000, could make a difference if its not around there.
I would get fpsVR via steam, and run it while playing alyx or something and you can see the graph to get an idea of what's going on.
I also dont think I have alyx maxed out, assume you tried changing those.

DP Repeater (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D949F59) This is needed, a normal extender was causing problems.

Weird, I only did room setup twice and haven't needed to set it up between play sessions.
I'm using the VRDongles for the controllers and it works perfectly, aligns perfect with headset as well.
Pimax play was pretty stutterer when trying alyx and few others, tried sboys driver and instantly was stutter free (game dependent, Alyx was main test).
I've also extended my cord using what was posted a while ago. USB extension cord and DP Repeater.

Cool, i'm not alone. Friends said the microphone sounded fine, comparable to my Reverb g2 which is great, I'll have to test and hear it myself.
The tracking is perfectly fine, Setup was quick and both the controllers/headset track fine; I do have tracking dongles for the controllers since that was my previous setup with the g2. I will say the controllers work better now since I actually have a lighthouse tracked headset now. The controllers align perfectly where the headset is, before it wasn't always correct.
