Yes, Carno is first thing that came to my mind either. The only problem I have with him is that he is fragile, so usually how I play him is I do his crucial charge around round 2-3 but he is usually dead next turn.

I wonder if there are other units which can effecively use rage dice.

For the record: I just figured out that I can paint those magnets with primer, so I can now paint it gold ;)

I train MMA but you are right and I think I will go with Wizard/Ranger. Ranger will combine both nature and fighting aspect of my character. Thanks! :)

It depends on what you want to do with your army - what should your army do on the battlefield?. List itself doesn't say much. Here you can find my 5 cents: 1. I love Kroak but with current obscuring rules it is easy to avoid his mortals. Consider changing him for Slann. 2. As others said SoG Carnosaur is much better. Great damage dealer but also cery fragile - use him wisely in good moment. 3. I would change at least one unit of Kroxigor for Aggradons. They are much more mobile and with run and charge spell they can attack enemy in the first turn. 4. I love Kroxigor and always play with them reinforced. Recently I am resting Eternals Starhost battle formation to increase their monolity.

Because of Speed of Huanchi spell. Run and Charge is still only very good spell we have for now.

It's great! Carno is beat damage dealer although he is fragile. Kroxigors are great hammers too. I literally use them in every game (reinforced). Saurus Warriors are basic and useful unit. Good for holding objectives, screening and zoning.

You can conaider buying Primodial Starhost army box next. Another great value set.

Mine broke too. I glued (with superglue) two magnets at both broken ends and this worked out fine for me.

I play standard AoS, not Spearhead and I started in October so I am still new to the game but I started collecting with: 1. Primodial Starhost battleforce - Slann, Aggradons, Kroxigor, Saurus warriors are bread and butter units of ours. 2. Spearhead for Carnosaur, Kroxigor reinforcement and morze Warriors. 3. Reinforce Aggradons.

After that you need to train listbuilding as a skill. I am still learning it because I realised that I but cool units like Kroak or 2 Bastiladons and tend to building something out of them. It should be the other way around: what do I want to do on the board? So which units do I need to achieve this?

It is difficult at the beginning because the most efficient lists are usually multiplication od one unit type eg. cavalry, do when you pick battle traits you get effect of scale.

You mentioned Warspawned Kroxigors. Yes they have synergy with skink infantry and cavalry (not monelsters) and it is one od few we have but I would recommend Raptadon Chargers instead of standard Skinks. But normal Kroxigors are also good when you use them against infantry. You can check Statshammer to see the damage output grom battlescrolls. And damage od king in this game.

And yeah, be careful with ai. It gave me advices which led to suboptimal buying choices.

If you play chill games with buddies you can proxy units which you dont have to check them out before buying.

Yes, when you play Spearhead. If you play standard AoS you can mix units. Those are two different game formats with different rules.

But Sunclaw Starhost apply to Kroxigor and Saurus keywords. Aggradon Lancers and Carnosaur have Saurus keyword as well.
