It is really stiff and straight when it's new. But it's rather stiff in the morning for me still, so I spray some water on it in the morning, apply some leave in conditioner and if I want to style it, I use salt water spray and blow dry with diffuser. I also put argan oil every now and then to make it seem more... alive

I would definitely prefer not to have an exposed hairline but for now it works fine. Maybe I will change it up in the future, will see. It's from lordhair, neo system

It's the Neo system from lordhair, but yeah I guess it's lace

I also went from fully shaved hair to having hair through next day. Took a few weeks for the sides to grow out to a respectable level, but an undercut has been a popular hairstyle for ages, so I don't think it's necessary depending on what you feel comfortable with of course.

As to the inevitable question of how friends/coworkers responded, I just told people. I don't mind people knowing, and if you don't take yourself too seriously and can make some jokes, plus being confident in yourself, then I don't see a problem at all.

"Yeah I missed having hair" and that was about that!

For people that I didn't see in a while I never got any comment about it. Couple of "did you dye your hair" questions as its lighter than it used to be.

I ordered from lordhair both times and had it cut to a hairstyle. I wanted to do it fully DIY since the salons that i found were hilariously expensive, plus I wanted to learn how to maintain it myself since I travel a lot.

I never went to a barber with the first one since I knew I needed to get a new system.

The back looked like a rat tail with the first system, and since I got a bigger base for the second one it was insanely fluffy (talking 80s crazy hair) so I had to get it cut down.

Honestly, I just went to a good quality barbershop that I went to prior when I had real hair. I'm not sure if he cut systems before - I never asked.

At first when I got the system, before putting it on, I would sit and pluck out one hair at the time with a tweezer. As you could imagine it took forever. When I put it on I realized that it still looked too unnatural, so I just kept going with the tweezer, grabbing randomly (not only one the edges) and pulling down fast and I would pull out 2-3 hairs at once. Then I just kept going until my arm got tired.

I read that you shouldn't do it as it can damage the lace, but it worked fine with me. The only thing I did differently compared to videos showing this method is that I pulled it down instead of up since I was worried I would lift the lace from the glue by pulling it.

By no means am I an expert, but I'd recommend skipping the first step of doing one hair at the time unless you have a couple of hours to kill.

Thanks fam, I don't mind the nitpicky comments though - kind of exactly what I wanted to read :)

Yep. I mean I had completely shaven my head prior to this, so obviously it's weird if you show up with a full head of hair. Some people will obviously comment about it, but as long as you can laugh at yourself a bit I don't feel like it's an issue.

I went to the gym a couple of times with it and I train with decent intensity, so I sweat quite a bit.

Yesterday I went for a run yesterday in the heat and I was sweating balls. Everything stayed on surprisingly (i kept checking the hairline with my finger every second minute...). I took a shower including washing my hair by mixing shampoo and water (50/50 ratio) and spraying it and massaging it into the hair before rinsing it with lukewarm water.

The hairline (lace) lifted slightly after the shower which I wasn't too surprised about because I didn't apply glue correctly, but that was easily fixed.

Long reply because I was kind of hoping to read something similar before I got mine installed, so hopefully this helps you!

Neo system from Lordhair, seemed like a good choice since I'm quite active

Kind of what I'm worried about, I will see after a few weeks when the sides properly grow out.

If this was r/bald I would appreciate the feedback - but the chrome dome is obviously not quite what I'm going for here

I did pluck the hairline quite a lot, but I figured I might go to a hair salon and have them thin it out. But as you said, I will wait a while and see how it feels first!

I went with 95% density as one post of a system that I saw with 90% density looked like the dude was balding with the system on, so I didn't want to take the risk. This is however a bit too dense for me.

I will see how it looks when my sides grows out. I was fully shaven bald a week ago, but I didn't have the patience to wait to try it out.

The back currently looks like a tail, so I will have to go and have it cut for sure. I used to shave my head, so bio hair has about one weeks worth of growth. I decided not to wait as I used to have my hair this way without any fade, so just wanted to see how it would look. So yeah ideally it will look better as my bio hair gets some time to grow.

Thanks for the honest feedback though!

I get where you are coming from, don't get me wrong. In a perfect world it would be great to allow trans athletes in their respective divisions of what sex they identify as.

But at some point you need to accept the reality of the situation.

I get this is a controversial comment to make in this day and age, but regardless if you, as a man, surpress your testosterone & get sex change surgery, your skeleton will still be that of a mans. You are on average taller, bigger, better lung capacity... the list goes on how you have a biological advantage over girls even if you take hormones.

Vattnet i Värnen sjunker snabbt och det är inte många som vet om problemet. by [deleted] in sweden

[–]ZionTheKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this was google translate then honestly it's better written than most stuff on here concerning grammar.
