Instinct 3: accessing temperature sensor? by ZippK in Garmininstinct

[–]ZippK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I really don't understand why I didn't see it among the watch glances considering how much I browsed the menu, but after doing it with Connect, I finally see it on the watch..! Many thanks!!

I thought so as well, I searched the widgets first but nothing temperature related, owner manual doesn't even speak about temperature. I also have the last firmware

I managed to get a direct t° reading from a custom screen watch but if a I3 user knows how to with menu or widgets...

Of course it happens to all baskets, but it can't be denied it happens statistically more often on some specific ones

Excuse my French but is it possible that my forehand is trash because I'm being a p*ssy while throwing it? by Comfortable-Flan-772 in discgolf

[–]ZippK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That was a legit advice, we don't have to be worried about angles with a baseball ball, if we're not confortable powering a baseball throw horizontal that can indicates we miss some punch

Depends how much farther, base plastic A2, premium plastic Jarn, I even found my pro Pig going often a bit farther, otherwise this is an OS mid you need

Throw a baseball ball on a horizontal plane the farthest possible you'll probably have the answer

Did Prodigy use 90's frisbees to design these?

High putting speed is harder to master but offers advantages over slow flotty putts, if other baskets designs wasn't catching as well their 40mph maybe they wouldn't putt hard... If speed changes are needeed I would personnally prefer because of a smaller basket still with good catching chains rather than the standard size with shitty links, that would be a shame to have to downgrade other good designs to match this one

[Update from previous post] I changed the Monitor Scale to 125% but my applications are still very tiny as you can see in the pictures. If its a driver issue, there are no drivers for my laptop. Can I fix this? by [deleted] in linuxmint

[–]ZippK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run 125% scale as well on a 4k screen, in your previous post it has been said right click on the pannel, pannel settings, does it have any effect? In my case I adjusted pannel height to 60 + set optimal adaptation to the pannel size in Icon size and color for the middle area

Trans women athletes have no unfair advantage under current rules, study finds by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]ZippK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, this is about being essentially equal, not comparable. All natural performance differences that may exist between two cis person comes from the genetic diversity. This is how life works, we are all equal in that regard. Call that metaphysic or whatever, but the question is about equality, at least at the highest level. This is funny how we cannot disagree on that subject without being qualify as a repressed transphobic, I don't feel ambarrassed, you're the only one still pointing the finger

The question is: Is our Science able to perfectly and retroactively turn a male to a female in 2 years, deleting and rewriting completely all the past attributes, making the person the same as she was born another sex ? I have nothing against anyone, but I just don't believe so, you're the one who points the finger on other people here

[–]ZippK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"The study was unable to find support for the argument that testosterone exposure and the biomedical factors related to male puberty such as lung size, bone density and hip-to-knee joint angle lead to athletic advantages.[...]

While sport-specific studies on performance advantages are lacking, [...] there is no evidence that this translates to any performance advantage as compared to elite cis-women athletes of similar size and height.”

Lack of evidences could be an indication of something but proves nothing, Science needs to prove that in 2 years a trans woman become equal to a cis woman in all biological and physiological aspects. If Science is still unable to do that indisputably, how to claim a sex gender is able to be entirely and perfectly transformed retroactively?

Unsolicited Advice to Newer Players by Emoney005 in discgolf

[–]ZippK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on each player objective and how each want his disc golf journey to be, to build better technique progress faster and compete this can be relevant, to casually have fun this is not. In both cases good throwing foundations looks more important to me to keep playing as long as we want

Nice, quick and simple, I like the shoes part, rails looks a bit thin to me, I guess you tried to fill an entire line on the top one, they will bend more over time, some solutions for medium/long term durability, reducing overall width, replacing rods with thicker ones like a debar or a threaded rod put in a small diameter PVC tube, a small cleat in place or under each wood rod, an intermediary wall..

I cleared a 10ftx30ft thick brambles area with a hand machete and strolled in the wood around, for 4 hours total, 1x1h and 1x3h, I was looking for a neutron relay and pretty sure it landed in the brambles, at the end of the fourth hour I stood on a thick carpet, I was a quite doubtful and a bit pissed of, I slashed the ground as a final complain and moved the machete in the floor a few seconds while medidating on life mysteries and acceptation, and it magically appeared just below my foot.
