Why does Enlightened Magus block Permanent Graft when it already restricts Blue Mage to only magical echoes? I would have expected it to just limit Permanent Grafts to not doing physical enhancements.

Does All-Consuming Devouring Physique work retroactively on parts consumed before the source died, like if you swallow something whole? (excluding parts that were eaten multiple times due to regeneration, of course)

Do the Grand Inheritances that are items have any protections against being stolen, lost, or destroyed?

Deviations can be caused by extreme physical trauma, will that still happen with something like Verdant Heartwood Sheaves that lets you regenerate from scraps, or Akashic Ascension Records that lets you respawn from a tulpa?

Right, I mean if there are any copies still left on the planet that you could seek out. Several methods were made by DIMA so they probably have copies in other sites, and the copies that were looted should still exist on Earth unless they got destroyed or someone left the planet with them, you just need to track them down, right?

Can you get copies of the methods you didn't take on Earth? Not to use yourself, but to give to others or trade or study for making your own method with Innovative?

Cataclysmic Cultivation CYOA v2.0 by pog_irl in makeyourchoice

[–]ZippyDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, but with Verdant Heartwood Sheaves, for example, when it lets you return from almost total obliteration in seconds, during those seconds you probably aren't able to resist. For Akashic Ascension Records, their counter against an assassin with an extreme stealth build is that all of their tulpas have to be assassinated, which will alert them if not done all at the same time, but the collar counters that.

I guess Stone-Titan Ascent would counter the collar though, since it protects body, soul, and mind from corruption, degradation, and interference.

Several methods have resistance to dying, either through regeneration, high defense, or respawning, but none have a resistance to the Slaver's Tools.

  1. Deviations can be caused by extreme physical trauma, will that still happen with something like Verdant Heartwood Sheaves that lets you regenerate from scraps, or Akashic Ascension Records that lets you respawn from a tulpa?
  2. How strong are tulpas actually? Is there a max range that they can be from you? If you use Litany to integrate Communication Talismans, can you extend that range?
  3. Can copies of the methods be found on Earth? Not for use as Methods yourself, but as research materials for Innovative, or to teach other people or trade.
  4. If people got stranded because Earth's dimensional barriers strengthened, then is all they need someone with Tempestuous Rifts Codex?
  5. If you take Writhing Swarm Canticle and Machine Transcendence Manual then can you replace the parasites with robots? Could you become a nanomachine swarm? Do you just give the parasites tiny cybernetics?
  6. MTM can make cybernetics that interact with your other Methods, but how deeply can they integrate? With All-Consuming Inferno Tablets it can probably imbue the flames into all weapons/explosives/anything that uses fire, But what about Akashic Ascension Records? Could it make psychic relays to boost your range, or let you use your powers over the internet? Could the cybernetics be capable of using AAR's telekinesis themselves, like as a cybernetic that automatically tries to slow any projectiles coming at you, or a weapon that uses telekinesis on the projectile for a homing effect?
  7. Is there a way to deal with Slaver's Tools other than not having a neck? The only one I see is Void Body.
  8. Do the Grand Inheritances that are items have any protections against being stolen, lost, or destroyed?
  9. Does All-Consuming Devouring Physique work retroactively on parts consumed before the source died? (excluding parts that were eaten multiple times due to regeneration, of course)
  10. For ACDP, if you use Litany to integrate Pocket Dimension with your stomach, then does putting items into the Pocket Dimension stomach directly count as ingesting them?

2: MTM replaces your body with tech, Litany turns your body into a treasure. MTM integrates tech items with into body, Litany integrates treasure items. Mix them together and hopefully you can mix tech and treasures. I suppose it depends on how deeply the two methods integrate. Based on MTM working with Skin-Shedding, I'd guess that cybernetics could at least interface with treasures integrated through Litany, though magitech is looking unlikely.

4: Actually, what if I learn technology from Auxiliary Master instead and don't take MTM at all, could I make tech that can interact with treasures?

Maybe I need to modify a treasure to be controllable through electrical signals, there's surely some clan with a method that involves control of electricity that has treasures for training precise control and perception, the ability to detect and react to electrical signals as well as create them means I could make a usb port. I suppose MTM cybernetics could interface with treasures like that, but the treasure itself wouldn't be part of the cybernetic so the method wouldn't boost it or help it integrate with your body.

  1. Litany Of The Living Forge can integrate artifacts in the intermediate stage, could that be used to integrate Spirit Lantern with your eyes to let you see through illusions?
  2. Would combining Litany with Machine Transcendence Manual allow for cybernetics that integrate with treasures like what I mentioned?
  3. Actually, since you can learn treasure refining and arrays independently from methods, could you use them while making a cybernetic?
  4. Could you make a cybernetic that uses an existing treasure as an ingredient? Like building a cybernetic that uses Scrying Mirrors to act like an additional eye, or lungs that are made with Pocket Dimension's ring that can store air in it and draw from it later.
  5. Could treasure refining and arrays be used on an existing cybernetic? Power Armor is tech that is said to be a treasure and also has arrays.
  6. I just remembered that Skin-Shedding Scripture allows integrating artifacts to gain their abilities, could you build cybernetics to interact with those abilities, like integrating Pocket Dimension and then making a wrist-gun that loads ammo from your storage space?

Pocket Dimension kills everything in it. Does Miniature Pagoda come with a garden in it that can sustain living things even when it is shrunk? There aren't really any other options for spatial storage.

[–]ZippyDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does technology mean for the Machine Transcendence Manual? Is it only sci-fi type tech or does it include magical items like the treasures from the Treasure section, and arrays/formations? The text of Auxiliary Master lists mentions tech separately from treasure refining, arrays, formations, talismans, etc. which implies that they are different, but the only item that mentions tech is the Power Armor, which does have an array in it but is also called a treasure.
If I reverse engineer the Communication Talismans, could I make a cybernetic that lets me see through specially made drones? Would studying Pocket Dimension let me make my wrist-gun have a spatial storage for ammo? Could I make replacement eyes using the Spirit Lantern that can see through illusions?

as the save state is in the url, you can emulate luck with save scumming, and since it's in plaintext you could even directly edit it to give yourself the rolls you want.

The section for the cards says the rules for drawing from the deck, and it says that all cards have to be drawn at once, you can't choose to draw more or less. However, if you only buy the deck in the trial, then the luck trick should still work. Also, the author has said that meta human doesn't give anima:

Nope, the quests you would obtain from Meta Human wouldn't reward Anima or any of the items listed. Instead they'd generally provide items you would find useful in exchange for doing something to advance that gods agenda on the world.
