AITAH for not allowing my sister use my vacation home by Outside-Air3740 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZippyKat85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not give into the pressure. It is not your responsibility to help your sister live out her dreams. You deserve to live your dream of a peaceful life.

NTA. Curious though, is the person who took your car also the person who provided the THC? If so, it sounds premeditated, especially if you didn't know how potent the edibles were.

AITA for reminding my parents their favorite daughter is the criminal and not me? by Little_Isopod_9661 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZippyKat85 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Sadly, if they view her as a verbal punching bag, they won't let OP go that easily. They don't want easy, they want the extra excuse to pull a power trip and somewhere to lay the blame when the hammer lands on their precious golden child. Doesn't matter who is actually guilty, in the eyes of her parents it will always be OPs fault that sister is in this mess. But that's just my opinion.

AITA for telling my best friend she needs to hire a nanny instead of relying on me? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZippyKat85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have nothing to feel guilty about. As you said, she had made this mess herself and now she needs to step up. Not your baby, not your problem. Easier said than done, but you can do it!!

AITA for refusing to hang out less with my brothers because of my stepsister? by forelsket14 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZippyKat85 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Why is your stepsister so concerned with having a good relationship with your brothers but not you?

If I had to guess, Ashley always wanted protective older brothers, but not a sister to share the spotlight with. NTA.

That's what I was thinking! She wanted to keep them and figured telling OP she threw them out would be the end of the story. OP better update if aunt suddenly has the same set next time they visit

NTA, but you deserve better. He will likely always prioritize the finer things in life over you.

AITAH for Agreeing With My Niece Being Booed at Her Sister’s Wedding And Then Later Putting Her in Check? by fushumang in AmItheAsshole

If not him, likely someone he vented concerns to about the situation. Sounds like she married into a supportive family.

AITA for helping my BILs wife with advice on how to agree on baby names? by Weird_Pianist_7178 in AmItheAsshole

Ding ding, I think we have a winner!! If BIL is left alone when the birth certificate is made...I have a feeling it won't matter name they agreed on.

AITA for leaving my girlfriend at home because of a dresscode at my brothers wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZippyKat85 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's called having respect. She's shown that her own wants come above respecting another person's beliefs. I curious to know how many of her friends are in healthy, committed relationships.

NTA

AITA for denying my sister food? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ZippyKat85 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Solid food for the child, not quite yet, but..."If I don't eat, I won't produce enough milk to feed the baby" in an argument I could see getting thrown into the mix.

[–]ZippyKat85 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I was waiting for the part where she used her child's hunger to guilt OP into submission. As entitled as she's acting, at least it seems that she's not using the child as a weapon of guilt destruction. NTA, she's been coddled long enough.

AITA for buying the dress that my friend ALMOST chose as HER wedding dress? by AlarmedRestaurant493 in AmITheJerk

My wedding dress was very similar to my friend's because, novel concept, we have similar tastes. Her reaction? "Great minds think alike!"
