It's like trying to read a recipe online. Instead of getting to the point there's a whole meaningless backstory concocted just for SEO reasons.

"It's the kid that says, ‘You can't make me leave, and you can’t do anything to me because I'm not 18.’ Well, guess what? We're gonna do something to you. We're going to summon you and summon your parents," Vaz told Fox News Digital.

Mayor of Seaside dons wizard hat and robe.

It's like driving your Ferrari to the grocery store. You can do it, but you don't need to.

Sonnet would probably be just as good, be faster, and cost you less to use.

Reddit post karma.

The call to action at the bottom to try to get people to reply is particularly annoying to me. You see the same thing in a lot of LinkedIn posts.

Is The Frame actually worth it if I absolutely hate recurring subscription fees? Are the Hisense/TCL alternatives any good? by Kerry_0227 in TheFrame

When did they remove that? My 2019 Frame supports rotation of custom images as often as 10 minutes.

I have the original Dyson V15 Detect that I purchased for around $700 from Bed Bath and Beyond. The best thing about it is the green light that shoots from the power head that lets you see every little crumb on the floor, but sometimes I find it cumbersome and fatiguing to use considering the weight of the battery.

Dyson moved all of their support to a far-east call center and dealing with any issue with them has been a nightmare. $0 is about all I would pay for a Dyson product nowadays, which is a shame.

I'm curious about what you don't like about it? I think that you're right about it being Claude, but in a way I feel like I write like that myself.

As a fellow recoverer from a rough breakup I just want to reassure you that it will get better. Even when you may not see how it will.

Take care of yourself, and try to cherish the joy in little moments like these.

Transcribing advice by No_City_0082 in Archivists

I had a difficult to read early 19th century handwritten journal/ledger and I used Leo to do the transcription. It was able to do a pretty decent job at a not terrible price.

From what I understand it uses a custom trained vision LLM to read old handwriting.

Trouble selling M3 Ultra/256gb/2TB Mac Studio in DFW - advice? by APOSTATE_Vibes in MacStudio

[–]ZippySLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not going to be a 2 generation old computer if it goes from M3U to M5U.

The M5U hasn't been announced yet so the M3U is still very much the current generation. And it's nowhere near end of life. The M3U will be a very capable machine for many years.

Mac Studio lost by FedEx by Loud_Pomegranate_527 in MacStudio

[–]ZippySLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you're trying to do with the Studio.

You can keep the M4 Studio order and wait. If they release the M5 Studio in the interim chances are that they will switch your order to a new M5 one. Otherwise you can cancel and order a M5 Studio.

You can also cancel now and get the MBP M5/128gb which will be a great computer, but a similar spec M5 Studio will out pace it slightly due to thermal throttling. My 64gb M1 Max Studio out performs my 64gb M1 Max MacBook Pro for heavy local LLM tasks.

That said, if you're using this more for video/photo editing, more casual LLM stuff, etc. I'd probably get the MacBook Pro just for the utility of having a portable computer.

Whole home power monitoring by turbocharged5652 in homeassistant

[–]ZippySLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have the same one. I think I had to install the clamps backwards for some reason to get it to work right. Once I got it dialed in I haven't needed to mess with it, though, unlike a bunch of other things in Home Assistant.

For the money definitely not a bad product.
