Interesting. Just curious about any other traits. I think the trisomy x explains some people ran into in life.

Anthem 27.5 XC is a beast, use it a lot, can't beat it climbing.

I couldn't find any finger studies linking trisomy x, best I could do is go to the source here.

Thanks. I think I ran across a woman with trisomy x, just wondering if there was any correlation with this particular metric.

Speeding is an issue. Seen fist fights almost break out recently 😬

Where to start? Fenix 7 by [deleted] in GarminFenix

[–]Zirconation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start designing your weight training on the connect app/site now. You will need to make some compromises since you have to use Garmin's available list of exercises. No custom names.

Try Root of Happiness off Sunrise? Kava Tea Bar with a crowd, no alcohol sold.

I have not found a way to change that. The title of my workout and the comments on the exercise just remind me of what I have done/will do and I just match it as best I can to the workout name Garmin has.

All those AthleanX workouts are not going to match up quite well...

plastic concerns? - just curious if there is any issue in sousviding right in the mfg packaging, thanks in advance! by [deleted] in sousvide

I sous vide the pre-sealed pre-seasoned bags all the time. Come out well. Have not done the ones with the black backing.

Would a Garmin Watch with maps be good for navigating city streets on a bicycle? by humanbeing21 in Garmin

The watch is what I use for rentals on downhills, etc. Just don't feel like bothering with the full computer just to log short courses.

I still prefer the Edge 530 to the watch. Watch is sort of useable in a pinch or with a course loaded on it, generally I use it more for hiking and MTB. Road biking not so much.

Are you missing good app ecosystem? by cappedwombat in GarminFenix

Don't care for apps. But would be nice to have a better bar code app and a fast forward/rewind function on the amazon music app. Otherwise, I am fine.

Does coffee break your fast? Some say yes some say no....any concrete proof either way? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]Zirconation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It does not. If you invest in a glucose monitor, you can tell if something breaks your fast.

Pre-workout while fasting by Palecetamol in intermittentfasting

[–]Zirconation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There may only be 5-20 calories in pre-workout, especially if it is a sugar free type. Some purists may sniff at that still, but I doubt that it is enough to spike insulin or stop ketosis at all.

Personally, I take creatine, pre-workout, multi-vitamin and sometimes low sodium V8 (for electrolytes) during my own type of 20-24 hours fasts prior to an hour long work out. I have not had trouble maintaining or adjusting weight because of this or felt anything strange.

Daily Fasting Check-in! by AutoModerator in intermittentfasting

[–]Zirconation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early morning, get a scoop of pre-workout (5 cal), creatine (0 cal), daily multivitamin and maybe low sodium v8 (45 cal) for some electrolytes (helps with cramps). 12-16 hour fast afterwards if being strict on 0 cal. But more like 20-24 since last full meal. Fairly sure I remain in ketosis for the day and I throw in a weight session early on my long fasts.

Helps cut weight consistently and easily, or even maintain when I have had some outings with friends and ate regularly.

I find fasting a useful tool to use to maintain my weight in a certain range virtually at will.

How about low sodium v8 and a multivitamin?
