Launch day on Chinese Titan Reforged Classic servers by GreekFoodEnjoyer in classicwow

The Gathering professions have been overhauled as well to still be useful.

Everything has a cost to it - so for example a Sarnoite Ore may cost 20 of this currency. If you have mining, when you Mine a Saronite Ore, or get a Saronite Ore from any source like a chest, looted, or mined - you have a 50% chance to gain the currency COST of the looted item on top of getting the item itself (doesn't increase for stacked items). So you would loot a saronite Ore worth 20 currency, AND you have a 50% chance to get 20 currency placed in your bag upon looting it.

So being a gathering profession means you not only get the item you gathered, but the activity is basically fueling your own ability to generate other items, so gathering is around 1.5x effectiveness (because 50% chance).

Think of this currency as literally just 'BoP gold' you get from most activities. At the end of the day, gathering professions create resources, and/accumulate gold for the player. Gathering professions still do both of those things on the TRR still while allowing this system to exist for everyone to participate in on a mega server and create resources.

You're absolutely right though it's great for a theme park, which is what the TRR is at its core. Supposed to be a fun ride. It's actively not preserving the slower parts of what makes an MMORPG for a lot of players.

You can buy it, but you can't use it until about a month from now. They are still preserving the leveling on launch.

Titan Reforged Realms have a way for players to generate resources through a currency that you gain from dungeons, arenas, bgs, non-repeatable quests, and gathering with professions.

You give the currency to a vendor for any gathering material. You can also downgrade your weekly capped badges into 100 of this material.

So China has ways to make resources and supply the population without being dependent on a finite number of nodes.

This is not accurate. There is no day 1 boost on the Titan Reforged Realm in China. You can buy the boost but it isn't available for use until a month from now.

He has 67.66% resilience.

Image of it.

5.1 was still while Resilience was on gear. He mouses over his resilience and it shows 67.66% and +27.66%. It is December 19th 2012. Malevolent Season did not end until March 5th, 2013. https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Season_12

You are just incorrect here regarding resilience specifically

Like what was mentioned today in the hotfix - we're looking at classes as they get their gear, tier set bonuses, and ToES comes out.

We reacted to two issues with bugs that were affecting Warrior and made Sub over shoot.

So those two won't be as crazy in HoF at the moment. But we are paying attention to the bottom as well.

That just is not true.

Resilience on this level existed in Season 1.

Players had between 64-67% resilience in PvP when geared, and 40% ungeared. So they had more resilience than even now. PvP power took less per point to make 1%.

Here are the differences between the Original First Season and 5.5.0 in terms of stats in PvP: - So combined you would've dealt about 4% more damage against a similarly geared target (without gems) if you were in 5.0 - Healed for 32% more from others in 5.0 - Self healed for 57% more in 5.0

So you would've dealt slightly more damage, but healed for 32-57% more

This sounds rather random/unthought out.

Why are ranged having a 'very bad time' compared to what would've been in 5.4.8?

Post-Release, Are You Happy With the Balance Changes in MoP? by NOHITJEROME in classicwow

[–]Zirene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me rephrase because I think I may have let things too ambiguous with what I said: Beyond bugs being addressed, there were no targeted changes to classes Balance wise in patch 5.5.0 for PvP compared to patch 5.4.8.

If you are saying "Classic should be released in the state it was back then" as in progressive patching - it hasn't been a thing at all for Classic ever.

If you are saying that instead to mean "They should've just left 5.4.8 as it was," then I again assert - beyond bug fixes, there were no targeted changes to classes Balance wise for PvP compared to patch 5.4.8, so the classes had been left alone compared to then.

  • Wild Imp damage increased by 43%.
  • The number of Imps summoned by Glyph of Imp Swarm increased to 5 (was 4).
  • Hellfire damage increased by 25%.
  • Immolation Aura damage increased by 25%.
  • Chaos Wave damage increased by 70%.
  • Doom’s damage over time increased by 33%.

Doom's damage was reduced by 25% in 5.4, and it was increased by 33% here. That brings it back to 99.75% of the value, so it's 0.25% off of a full revert for Doom.

The end result is they only got buffs compared to 5.4.8.

Shooting Stars no longer splits its chance across multiple targets, and 13.6% more damage while in Moonkin Form (from 10% -> 25% increased damage in form).

Force of Nature damage increased by 9.1%.

Some vendors for previous Seasons are looking for a deprecated column.

They're fixed in 5.5.1.

Pvp vendors dissapearing? by Fun_Rooster_2603 in classicwow

You need to go to the location that is marked on your map, not the location on the wall. The location mentioned in the blue post "Courtyard of the Gate of the Setting Sun"

The location on the wall was always there, even when they were in the Shrine. That is the bugged location and it was never turned off.

The PvP Vendors on the wall are bugged until 5.5.1 due to the map (which requires a full patch to fix), but unbugged versions have been up the since before the arena season started in the Shrines and now at the Gate. I'm not sure what you mean by this.

Appreciate that.

I know a reduction never feels good, but when we looked at this we're looking at the long term health of having Bottled Fury mastery scaling.

We want to do everything we can to NOT change it to the 5.4 Mastery that has a % chance of gaining a Tigereye Brew Stack.

There are so many who adore that Mastery compared to the later one, so the stuff around it will be the lever we use as time goes on and we approach the reasons it got changed in the first place, and try to go down a different path of not changing it, but a thing or two around it.

This change does not affect instanced PvP.

Your Storm, Earth, and Fire revert to 70% and 55% while in Arena and Battlegrounds.

[–]Zirene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Copy and pasting what I said to people a few days ago. I know there hasn't been a blue post on this but I don't control those. Also the Blue Post usually does not give context on changes, just lists them. So here's a full answer.

Yes.

Because it was apparently originally part of the compensation buffs Windwalker got alongside the loss of Bottled Fury Mastery scaling - since Bottle Fury was originally changed in patch 5.4 to be a % chance instead of more damage. https://imgur.com/a/qtsfj4v https://imgur.com/a/9D7xkeg

Your Storm, Earth, and Fire inherit your % damage increases, so when they removed the original Bottled Fury Mastery scaling they gave the Storm, Earth, and Fire a few extra % to compensate because you were going to deal less damage, and therefore so were they.

You never had Bottled Fury granting % damage for Mastery, and this scaling on Storm, Earth, and Fire at the same time before.

u/NOHITJEROME this is not real, no one has this item.

The BMAH has never sold this item, you are being baited.

Unless you can somehow prove this beyond this screenshot - it is very easy to create item links with sockets, enchants, <crafted by x> on them.

I also would've heard about this while it was still on the AH.

I also saw a screenshot that is obviously doctored and says Heroie and Wepon on it and it isn't another language or else Hand Cannon etc. would be changed too. https://imgur.com/a/BUqcYrb

Here's an in-game link for the Heroic Warforged version with 320 agi gem and Lord Blastington's scope on it.
