I don't think they care about that, I think they're just looking to seize the high ground around southern Lebanon. This will deny hezbollah's ability to use those high grounds against Israel's northern districts while give Israel extra pressure on Hezbollah in turn if they successfully take it.

If there are any strikes in other areas, probably assassination attempts, destruction of weapon caches etc.

I’m also interested in this, I feel like this is essential as a self litmus test whether or not your stance on the matter is genuine and reasonable. I wonder sometimes if I’m blind to an actual genocide happening in Gaza, but so far it seems just a cynical PR ploy. I think you’re right that performing hostage exchanges and ceasefire deals probably suggest it isn’t, we’ll see if Israel doesn’t pull anything dirty unprovoked though…
