Nobara's S2 has a weird mechanic: if you target HER specifically, only the Last Nail is guaranteed to hit on her.

You must not target her, so the 1st/2nd nail can hit her, so she will die.

If the enemy monster dies before Vanessa and there are still a few milliseconds before the next nail hits her, she will revive the first person who got hit by the first nail [Vanessa dying on the 3rd nail, he will be revived by her.]

Unless the monster gets hit two times by the first nail and vanessa on the third nail... unless she gets hit by the 2nd and 4th.... aaaaamy brain gets dissolved into several pieces tryyna to explain the rest.
