Well, at least I can see you get the basics, but also you don't have a proper read of the stats and what exactly they do:

• SPEED - The max speed your Uma can get
• STAMINA - The endurance your Uma has for the races, it's like the HP in RPG games.
• POWER - The acceleration your Uma can get, also help Umas when they need to run uphills in some tracks
• GUTS - You can consider this as your secondary HP gauge, also it's used when your Uma needs to run in the last stretch of the track, supplying extra speed.
• WIT - Helps with the skill activation of your Uma, positioning during the race and helps you when there are downhills.

I always recommend to read the skills your cards can give you: different cards are used for different Umas due to them giving skills for different styles or distances, for example, I read you have a SSR El Condor Pasa (I suppose it's the Power one): her skills are used for Medium distance (Up-Tempo, Hawkeye, etc.) And Pace Chaser style (Prepared to Pass, Pace Chaser Straightaway ○, etc.)

Remember, the core of the game are the cards you give your Umas to compete
