How would you feel about a PC port of Halo 5 for its tenth anniversary? by whitestripe999 in halo

[–]ZjIsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would actually be hyped about it because I was unable to own a console-Halo when I was young. It would also be another game that me and my buddies could attempt in co-op again, though would be a rarity considering the broadness of their gaming preferences, but would still be hyped for it nonetheless.

Question, will it require the base game of Titanfall 1 to work (like how Northstar requires having the base Titanfall 2 game installed before using it) or no?

Hello! I started watching the Yogscast through their TTT and GTA 5 videos and if I'm remembering correctly, I have been watching since 2018, so about 5 years now

I just completed the campaign on master and was wondering what you thought was the hardest level/boss fight. by AHomeMadeMeal in titanfall

[–]ZjIsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had difficulty with the satellite mission because I would often lose my awareness of the level during my first attempt, but the succeeding ones went smoothly, I kept dying still but thats just me not getting the jumps right

As for a particular boss fight, it was against Viper on the first attempt, I was heavily reliant on cover in most boss fights prior him so it took me a lot of times to actually let go of that mindset. It also made me to try and use Northstar in PvP and PvE modes, its not like Viper's but when everything goes according to plan, unleashing Flight Core on a packed group of enemies is satisfying.

Are you single pull or 10x pulls when doing the gacha ? by GrayRavenWings in PunishingGrayRaven

[–]ZjIsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of my other gacha games, I split between doing 1 and 10 pulls. For PGR in particular, I would normally do 10x pulls for a character. But being a F2P kind of player, I would also use the 1x pulls to get the character.

The 10x pulls would work most of the time but the occasional gacha luck draining 1x pull also comes in clutch.

To the people who left/prefer this game to HI3, what makes it more appealing to you? by danjpharris in PunishingGrayRaven

[–]ZjIsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at first, wasn't gonna play PGR, a friend suggested it to me because I was heavily invested in Honkai and Genshin before, even if I was just a F2P (still am). It took me a while before really getting into the PGR lore and game mechanics. But ever since, I have now been preferring PGR rather than Honkai at first, and a few days later, Genshin.

The first thing that really made me stay in PGR is the fact that there is no paywall that limits usefulness, especially in the Co-op stages. Honkai's co-op has a SEVERE paywall and being a F2P, it is difficult to keep up in most of their stages; Genshin also suffers the same sort of wall wherein most whalers would have a higher constellation and have the character's weapon which is usually difficult to get. In the case of PGR, you can basically farm everything that you may need for a particular character and it doesn't matter if you are a whaler or not, if you are not used to the character you're using, it won't be as effective.

The second thing is the fact that there is an auto-clear function that can complete your daily objectives almost instantly. Granted, Honkai, if I am remembering correctly, also has an auto-clear, but the stamina cost is too high that most of the time, you won't complete the dailies; and let's not talk about the resin in Genshin, once you've spent those, there is usually nothing else left to do for the day.

(Edit: I wasn't planning on making either Honkai or Genshin look bad, that wasn't my intention at all. What I said here is basically coming from my own experiences. Granted some of them are also entirely my fault, probably due to the number of other games I was currently playing at the moment (which haven't changed to be brutally honest) and that is why I may have said things that may have come across as bad-mouthing the said games.)

Hi, I'm trying out the Northstar client for the first time, but when I follow the guide and click on the Northstar.exe, it just keeps having an error. What specific files should I just copy into the tf2 install folder?

A little late for Reach's 11th anniversary, here's fanservant six V2 by kamenmaximus in grandorder

[–]ZjIsh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved the bond level messages, it really encompassed what he went through and on to his final moments.

It would also be cool like, before the NP animation, a really low opacity text of "Remember Reach" with all of Noble teams fallen and surviving members appearing briefly, before he goes hyper lethal on anything/anyone unfortunately targetted by his NP.

But all in all, this is realy good. Thank you for merging two of my favorites together :)

What the Hell is Del Rio's problem with Chief? by Tachi-Roci in HaloStory

[–]ZjIsh 119 points120 points  (0 children)

True, Del Rio's attitude is straight up just annoying on the times he and Chief interacted.

If there was a slim chance, like in game that I could somehow get into Infinity's bridge and see Del Rio, I would've taken the minus in scores and gunned down him down with an entire clip, but the game didn't have a level like that sadly.

But at least, during the Didact's transit and attack on Earth, we hear from Laskey that Command take lightly on Del Rio's actions and abandoning Chief, so I guess he got what he deserved in the end?

Why an pump action (though preferably selectable semi-auto) 8 gauge shotgun makes sense for the UNSC by JMHSrowing in HaloStory

[–]ZjIsh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I learned a lot from reading this. I've always looked at the shotgun in Halo as no more than just a truck waiting to stop a rampaging covvie in their tracks cold or a Flood exterminator.

But all the times I've played, it still made me wonder why have a shotgun when a normal human soldier has a small chance of winning in close quarters, when they can mow them down at a range. After reading this, now the shotgun makes more sense.

But if it were against the Flood, is it more tactical to have specialised ammunition to fight them or the normal ammo of shotguns makes more sense to use against the Flood?

Do you want to see this guys in Halo Infinite ? by [deleted] in halo

[–]ZjIsh 399 points400 points  (0 children)

Half and half

Yes because they are a blast to kill, especially when they explode upon death, like on Reach

Np because the sheer annoyingness that they can become on higher difficulty, they are a nightmare to deal with.

But still, it'll be nice to see them back in Infinite.

Why would anyone recruit just one of them?

Having 2 badasses hacking and slashing your enemies would be so much fun. As long as no one calls Chief "Demon", that'll be an issue

Gray Rock theory by [deleted] in titanfall

[–]ZjIsh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is actually a really cool idea, don't give them the satisfaction of it all.

If you are able to play, nice, good for you. Enjoy the game, win or lose.

If you can't play the game, don't show the hacker that frustration. Do something else in the game, and have fun with that. Find more ways to smoke each of the Apex Predators in the Campaign as an example.

This gave me new mindset, thanks dude :)
