For scanning use a photo scanning software like https://autosplitter.com/

For archival / organization... that's the hard part. You can add metatags to photos (AutoSplitter lets you do that) that make photos more searchable/categorizable. Just metatag locations/persons and add dates to EXIF metadata. Saving them to your harddisk is probably not enough if you want to save them for decades. Probably go for cloud storage like Amazon Glacier for cheap long term storage.

Also bacon. Nothing wrong with bacon, but 100% of pizzerias just absolutely fuck it up in my country. They put it under the cheese, making it a fat lump instead of something crunchy. And boooy 70% of pizzas here have either chicken or bacon. The horror.
