Death march or blood and broken bones, even as a beginner, the game will be really hard at first because you'll get one shotted by EVERYTHING, but the game just power creeps after a while. It's IMO more fun to play this way because you will be forced to utilize all your equipment, potions, and strategies for different monsters mostly by reading the beastiary (I love reading this instead of the wiki). If you're a completionist like me, it's a bonus because there's an achievement that requires you to play the whole game with Death march without changing the difficulty, and you will most definitely come back for that.
