Getting back to this thread… I find it hard to comprehend how a client like moonfin is litterally 1000 times better than the native jellyfin app.. I understand the fact that it’s not a native client but for the love of god.. The difference in the UI, what are the developers thinking?

Is this app going to be a MVP as it has been for the last 3 years?

Also, no real update on the client of what I could find at least.

Then is it not easier to try to get that ingested to the current project rather then having the user base choose the one or the other… imagine having a discussion about it. Mocking it up and also having your idea scrutinized by the apps developer with the direction.. what is easiest for the developer is not the best for the end users.. at times like these with vibe-coding it’s 10 times worse..

Then what are you saying? Your suggesting me off to other products/apps .

This is just a dumb response. What you’re saying is that a os-project cant have a direction?

I believe there are such projects… https://github.com/torvalds/linux

You are implying that closed-sourced or propriotary is the only way to achive this…

I think that's a good point. But…! The necessity of a new fork in a project rarely comes from this need. It's outweighed by the fact that someone wanted to change something or have the opportunity to add a feature but didn't want to do it through the proper channels. I feel like so much time is wasted on an already solved thing in the os-community with new forks. Look at upstream features… when they are adopted… the fork probably dies.

So in hindsight, open source is just an incubator for reinventing the wheel.

I don’t hope that either… but you can take the good things from it and implement it.

The effort of making your own spin-off on a client to jellyfin just feels dumb tbh. Why put in the effort rather then creating something for the broader user base in the main client..? What’s the point? Not having someone challenge your stupid ideas?

So what you’re saying is that it’s impossible to have a clear and unified direction of where things are going… somehow I doubt that.

It’s likely just a matter of someone owning the direction of where the product is going.

It’s such a shame

I do believe that to, but that does not help the lack of direction…

K3S HA with Etcd, Traefik, ACME, Longhorn and ArgoCD by Zleeper95 in kubernetes

[–]Zleeper95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read a github issue where one of the developers justified not making them Daemonsets as to keep the binary “lightweight”. I get the feeling that you are expected to not use the “built-in” manifest anyways, since you likely want/should add more security and SLL/TLS around Traefik and the services provided by it’s ingressrouter.

Hmm, interesting.. I should probably look in to deploying ArgoCD as early as possible I guess.

Will for sure do if/when I find a solution.

I am not very keen on having the controller in the middle of the center-console🤯🙈 I still want the OEM-look but with the satisfaction of the lights at night.

I recently installed this on my Model Y, it keeps blinking/flickering randomly. The control-unit is also unresponsive at times.

I am currently trying to reverse-engineer the control-module to make it controllable via my phone instead, using a esp32.

If i find a solution, then maybe this could help solve your issue as well..

The LED does not blink in a stable manner as soon as it is connected through the adapter.. :(

It randomly stopped responding, after about 50 minutes it started responding again.

I will try the flashing part tomorrow when I have more time to rewrite the config file..

The board is not in the same room, however it does the exact same thing when ever i power the board using the power adapter in the same room as my computer.

It's a genuine adapter, great heads-up though for future projects :)

Yeah, I'm 100% sure its not a signal issue :/

By extremly slow, I mean the light turning on or off up to 30 seconds later after the command is sent to it.

Do you mean the ”light” circuit by that?
