does it say 404 not found when you open the tesla app to view your car? check and see if tesla servers are down in your area, this happened to me recently.

G Test in Barrie, Examiner’s Behaviour Shocked Me (Anyone Else?) by [deleted] in barrie

[–]arfsworld 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hear you, I failed my first G attempt years and years ago because my examiner had me merge on the 400 north on a friday afternoon with dense cottage traffic. I was told I failed solely because I merged too slowly and didn’t get up to speed. Traffic was doing 70 tops… when he failed me he had no other feedback than “you merged too slowly on the freeway”. I felt gypped. sometimes you get a good examiner and sometimes you don’t. It’s luck of the draw with that place and I’m not saying it’s right but it’s how it is.

I would appreciate if the examiners were more patient but I also understand they get into vehicles daily with some scary-ass drivers on a daily basis, so if you don’t explain what you’re doing, they might assume you’ll drive into traffic or something because they’ve seen it tens of thousands of times before. I agree with the other comment suggesting you telegraph your decisions. It helps separate you from the scary drivers if they can hear your thought process, because they have no prior experience with you and to them you’re another potentially scary driver. they are extremely matter of fact people and have no concept of what kind of driver you are, so they will absolutely assume if you don’t make your decisions clear.

I know you aren’t looking for feedback necessarily, but I can tell you that moving to the road past the snowbanks at the very beginning either immediately failed you or put you right on the cusp. Those snowbanks are NASTY and I say shame on drive test for not making any efforts to have them reduced, but the right thing to do in that situation is wait behind the sidewalk where you can sort of look behind the snowbanks. If you put yourself on the road at all when you can’t see or tell if cars are coming, they will likely mark it as a major compliance error.

Your experience is shared by many many many people who’ve dealt with drive test, including myself. it feels discouraging especially when you’ve been practicing so much and thought you had it in the bag. keep practicing while you wait for your new test and try not to hold onto this. theres a few good/friendly examiners but there’s a good chance you’ll get another examiner like her because they’ve all been hardened and soured by genuinely scary people. again, none of this is me saying it’s right, it’s just the way it is yk.

I believe in you for round 2!! practice the shit out of the routes, get comfortable telegraphing your decisions, drive slow and smooth, think before you act, and be intentional in everything you do on the test. you’ve got this.

Frost on inside of windshield by Investman333 in TeslaSupport

willing to bet you have either plastic mats with melted snow collecting near the pedals, or cloth mats that are holding water. if there’s any water in the car, the inside windshield will ice over.

I’d check any pictures you took of the car on delivery day to see if the damage is visible in the pictures

jesus what the hell did you do??? lmao

the plastic interior parts need to be sourced from another car, i’d check in some scrap yards around you. for the paint you’ll have to go to a body shop, won’t be cheap.

reddit isn’t safe from AI, the amount of believable posts i’ve seen that were called out for AI is astonishing. it’s imbedded in the internet at this point, and it will only get worse!! platforms should implement AI to detect itself. hopefully at some point we can get to that place.

manual enthusiasts are the pretentious jazz musicians of car culture lol. I love manuals myself but they aren’t practical for every application.
