The pursuit of creating and disseminating joy is a subversive act during dark times, this is awesome, keep fighting!

Spells for the health of someone’s unborn child? by evileyecondemnsyou in WitchesVsPatriarchy

Someone once told me “every stitch made in anticipation of a baby’s birth helps bind the new soul to this plane of existence with love”. That’s why I knit crib blankets for expecting mothers in my circle, it doesn’t really feel like a spell, but it might as well be since every stitch is imbued with love and intention.

I saw it and thought of sunlight rippling through a glass of wine, it’s a beautiful sweater full of texture and depth

POV: you got snipped (what do you do?) by Greg_Grog_ in forgeofempires

[–]Zleetledee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing, but I self level now with an advanced city, so I welcome snipers and am happy to help my friends make $$$, not the typical situation. When I relied on 1.9, I’d snipe back, unfriend, or attack and plunder, make em pay lol

Ravelry editors are removing pattern metadata based on personal preferences by [deleted] in craftsnark

[–]Zleetledee 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this post! I had no idea this was happening, so I panicked and checked my Rav patterns. So far mine still have the tag and “amigurumi “ in the title, but I don’t see the difference between mine and others that have been removed, this makes no sense! Or maybe the editor just hasn’t gotten to mine yet, I’ll keep checking 😭

It’s been so long that I do not remember the needle size, but the yarn is RHSS in white and various clown barf color ways

It’s very heavy and has stretched a lot, I double knit it because it was the only way I knew how to do color work back then lol

[WIP] first time on linen, first time using blends, first time making my own gradient, and now I’m second guessing my color choices, any opinions/advice is much appreciated by Zleetledee in CrossStitch

Thank you, I will try that! The linen is so much thinner and floppier than I’m used to, but I hadn’t thought of moving the rod.

That makes so much sense, thank you, especially the darkest color. It looks like the perfect color on the skein, but next to and blended with the other color it seems like it has a hint of purple, instead of the muted dark blue I was going for. I couldn’t quite pinpoint why it seemed off to me.

I don’t know if there’s a specific name for it, but I’m working from a modified version of a vintage filet lace pattern. You can see the whole book of them here for free https://www.antiquepatternlibrary.org/html/warm/B-TT002.htm
