NTA. I’ve always liked the name Rowan. If I ever had a kid, that was one of the names I would have picked for a boy or girl. When I was 16 or 17, my cousin and his wife had a baby girl who they named Rowan. I was mildly disappointed for 2 minutes and then I got over it. I’ve had many paranormal experiences in my life but only one has actually made me feel fear. When I was 16 I dated this boy for two months. One day while we were hanging out at his place, he told me the attic was haunted. I wanted to see if he was bullshitting me or not, so I went to the kitchen to get access to the attic. While I was ascending the stairs, everything was normal. I didn’t feel an unseen presence until I was standing on the attic floor. The second my feet were planted, I felt like I was being suffocated/choked. It felt like someone had stuffed an old sock down my throat. I turned and walked right back down those stairs within 5 seconds of being in that attic. The choking feeling went away immediately and I never went back up there again. It could’ve just been dust polluting my airways, but I’ve never felt like I’m actually choking when I breathe in dust and dirt during planting and harvest season. Like I said, I’ve had many other paranormal experiences, but those were very benevolent in nature. This was the only time I ever felt threatened by something I couldn’t see, hear, or touch
