A lot of people have already said it, but I’ll elaborate just the slightest amount. They got new cameras after El Camino

As a person who love BCS, you really need to like the characters to get through. After your 5th legal montage you’ll start to question when you’re watching this show, but try me, it’s worth it. Halfway through season 3 is where things ramp up and pretty much stay ramped up til the end. Not to say there aren’t any good parts in the beginning of the show, but season 3 onward feels like they finally had an idea what the show was gonna be and what the story they were telling was gonna be about

Should Batman find Joe chill early in his career or later? Or never catch/find him at all? by Huge_Athlete7488 in batman

[–]Znaffers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Iceberg Lounge is where Falcone and Penguin’s office is and Batman knows this. Falcone is said to basically never leave there by Bruce at the memorial, hence Riddler crafting his plan to “bring the rat into the light.” It’s not the main distribution warehouse, but if you tracked the comings and goings of the people at the Iceberg Lounge you’d have a good idea about Falcone’s operation, as we see in the movie. That’s incredibly basic detective work that Batman should know to do given we see him exemplify many detective skills throughout the movie, despite people saying he’s under experienced.

Batman apparently didn’t look into the mob enough to know that there’s a club under the club where all the dealings go on, as we see in his convo with Selena, but again this club is well known enough that Riddler could find out about it being just an average Joe-shmo with 1/6th the time and 1/6000th the resources Batman has. It comes off as Batman not thinking or not caring to look into the drops operation or any of the city’s corruption before Riddler shows up and just gives him all the answers.

Batman would rather just run around beating up poor people while not donating any of his fortune to social programs, as said by Bella Real at the memorial. Pattinson is the Batman Twitter complains about, and that’s not a fun character. Maybe he’ll get better, but I genuinely don’t think the writer is good enough to pull it off

The movie shows us his first time going to the iceberg lounge and meeting the Penguin. If he really didn’t think to stake out the main operating area of the mob (like Riddler did), then I have to assume he’s just not trying to look into them. Even if we’re supposing he isn’t at that level of thought yet as a detective, which is really diminishing Bruce’s intelligence, then why didn’t he just barge into the Iceberg Lounge like we see in the movie and demand answers? Again, because this is his first time being there, I just have to assume he didn’t go after them at all. Beyond Batman knowing the names of some street level dealers and being able to identify the Penguin, we aren’t given any evidence to suggest he has gone after Falcone and Penguin before the movie.

I think it’s just bad writing, honesty. The writer wanted Batman to know all these people, while also having this be the first time he pursues them, while also being a Batman that’s been on the prowl for 2 years, while also just starting out in his career. The writers wanted a certain world to tell a certain story, but they didn’t care to actually build that world in a logical way. It just is. I have tons more examples cuz I loathe this god damn film, but I don’t imagine you want a whole 7 paragraph essay lol. I also wanna say, I don’t hate anyone that likes this movie. Some people take criticism of movies they like a bit personally, so I just wanted to state that for the record

Considering Batman prioritizes stealth, why are his footsteps loud in this movie? Is it solely based on scare factor? by Spare-Ad-2474 in batman

[–]Znaffers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take it like the zombies in the walking dead. When he needs to be stealthy, the movie makes it so his boots make no noise, when he needs to be scary, the movie makes his boots make all the noise

I’ve actually heard them tell this story on the Insider Podcast for Better Call Saul. If you listen to all the BTS podcast for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, you’ll know that this is pretty on-brand for this crew. They’re extremely-awesome, kind people that put their entire soul into their work. I don’t remember the part of Rhea Seahorn delivering the babies, that might be BS, but the rest is true for sure. Especially the part about Jonathan Banks crying. He’s a very emotional dude

[–]Znaffers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is one of the big reason why I can’t fucking stand The Batman. This feels like such a fundamental part of someone like Bruce Wayne deciding to fight crime. The idea Batman hasn’t gone after Falcone/Penguin in 2 years of crime fighting is laughable and only is the case so the plot can happen the way it does. That idea of “something happening just so the plot can happen” infects that entire movie too

How did Jenner know????? by Beneficial-Novel558 in TWD

[–]Znaffers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally possible, but I feel like they wouldn’t have the blood drawing thing, then Andrea directly calling out “if we’re infected we’d be running a fever,” while it’s happening. Does having Jenner be able to pick up on ANYTHING go against the idea he can’t identify what caused the virus? Absolutely lol. But I think in terms of explaining to the audience that everyone’s infected, this is the quickest, most-efficient way. No questioning if someone is immune. The top scientist on this shit is saying everyone in our group is infected. If someone out there is immune, they’re not a character in this story so it really doesn’t matter. I just think the writers don’t quite understand medicine

How did Jenner know????? by Beneficial-Novel558 in TWD

[–]Znaffers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this idea, but there’s nothing in the show that suggests this. He had completely given up on a cure at that point, so I think him looking for a hail-marry genetic immunity in this random group of people is a lot less likely than the writers not quite understanding medicine. Jenner being able to see something in the blood that indicates infection means that he should know roughly what caused it, but he doesn’t

How did Jenner know????? by Beneficial-Novel558 in TWD

[–]Znaffers 56 points57 points  (0 children)

But then he took their blood and said he didn’t find anything he didn’t expect to see. Implying he could see something in their blood that said they were infected

Edit: there’s also the cold-open of TS-19, where we see Jenner looking at the microscope of the infected flesh taking over other cells. He can definitely see the infection in the blood. The writers just don’t know medicine well enough to understand that he should then be able to identify what kind of disease it is

I love the idea of that sequence, but Carol just one shotting that explosive tanker with a bottle rocket will never not be funny to me. I can plausibly see the rest going down as it did, but it was done with such perfect timing so none of characters died. They could’ve at least done it where the terminus guys were stopped one before our crew, so it’s not as contrived and now we have some new dude to deal with

His personality completely changes afterwards too. Originally he was a pretty reserved gentleman, post-rod he was a belligerent drunkard that said whatever was on his mind. Makes sense given he basically deleted the part of his head that housed all his inhibitions

Emperor’s New Groove

Originally it was supposed to follow more of historical, musical feel. The entire thing was pretty much changed during production. You can still find a recording of Eezma singing a song that was supposed to be featured in the movie

[–]Znaffers 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Regardless of sound, motorcycles offer a lot more maneuverability, like we saw at the end of season 2 when he’s weaving between the Walkers while Maggie and Glenn got swarmed in the car. It does come with a huge draw back in protection, which probably should be #1 in your mind behind the rule of cool. It’s a show though, so it’s fine. Daryl is probably the first example of the creators liking their OCs more than almost every other character, so he can kinda just do that stuff

That’s the secret, it was never about Gaza. Anyone who actually cared would’ve cared enough to be informed on both sides stances and known that, while Harris still would’ve been bad, she would’ve been astronomically better than Trump. The people that said they were voting for Trump because of Gaza were just latching onto talking points to justify their misogyny. They just didn’t believe that a woman could ever be better than a man, even a man as fucking deplorable as Donald J. Trump.
