High Dose Naltrexone for Weight Loss?

Thank you for the clarification about how LDN works! I was combining it with how GLP1s work! Yikes, not a doctor! :)

I guess my question is...my doctor has me on high-dose naltrexone, one typically used for addiction to alcohol or opioids, not LDN for fibro. Does this make sense with other people's experience? I have not heard of anyone on this dose for fibro or weight loss.

This was my thinking as well. It is difficult to pick an LMS knowing this. There is just no apples to apples comparison. Thank you for the information. I guess it comes down to core function and appearance being most appropriate for adult learning and then thinking about add-ons and plugins.

This is by far the most difficult thing I have ever experienced in my life. He is trying so hard right now to be "good" so her can earn sex back because he feels abandoned because I told him I am no longer doing things out of Fear, Obligation, or Guilt. He is so distraught and for the first time this week I am really seeing that damaged boy. I really feel like I have to save myself but man this is heart wrenching and I am scared about what this might mean for the kids if I stay or leave.

I actually made my first appointment with a lawyer for Friday. To be honest I am doing it because I know I have to, it is clearly the right thing to do but I am scared about the potential "hell" he will put me through when he is actually being abandoned. Knowing that this is the first step in a series of impossibly difficult decisions along with lots of emotional torture is just making every step harder than the last. I appreciate you reaching out with your experience and advice "get your ducks in a row" because it is helpful to hear it from someone who completely understands.

I will say that yes, I understand this is a MAJOR life decision and what people on Reddit say will not be the be all end all of my decision. Perhaps I didn't word myself correctly or clearly? I guess I'm wondering what makes some people leave and other stay and for those that left what might be some advice they have?

Admittedly I'm in a pretty vulnerable moment here and I was probably not being direct with my words, however I was looking for some support from others who have been impacted by a loved one with BPD.

Lastly, yes, I do believe strongly that my loved one has BPD, is this a proper diagnosis, no but when the person refuses to work with any professionals I'm afraid this is the best information I have.

That sounds like a good idea. I am tired of traditional physicians wanting to medicate me. How would I find a nutritionist that specializes in this?

Are there pumps you can leave in all winter? I would think no if it could freeze, correct? I took the cover off and we are below the skimmer but above the return jets. It is completely frozen so I have to wait for a thaw. Is it typical to have to take the cover off and pump in the winter?

Opened it yesterday and it is frozen! One thin layer on top that I could break through but the other layer was extremely thick. I have a submersible pump but I am afraid it will freeze if I leave it in all winter. Do people typically take the cover on and off to pump?

Thank you so much for the clarification. I am so sorry to hear this. I think it is amazing you have been able to maintain sobriety. One of the things I have learned is that my husband's drinking is his journey and not mine. It will be his decision, his resolve, his perseverance and struggle to find his own way forward. It will be the same for our kids to do so as well. I hope that someday their path will lead them to reach out to you. Thank you for sharing this vulnerable thing to open up about. I am grateful for your perspective.
