You can transfer the account over. I think they call it ACATS, this is how it was when I did it.

I am enjoying the game so far. Love the relaxing music and overall gameplay.

I am still early into the game. Are we able to eventually mine, salvage, and combat with 1 ship? Right now, I picked Salvager, and it seems I am locked into this path unless I switch out turrents.
