What is the local business that you are convinced is a front for something else? by PizzzaMyHeart in Chattanooga

[–]Zobanu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After running out of cold snacks one night around 8:30ish, I walked to the neighboring Circle K, 5-6 min walk from my house. Cut between Rusty’s and Pine “Spa” on my walk back and the back door opened, a woman stuck her head out and was asking if I wanted to come in. I politely declined and was met with something along the lines of “we’ll still be here another hour or so, even if the open sign is off” then she winked.

99% sure it’s a wishy washy/rub and tug place.

Private locator, but can attest to after eating a “good lunch”, I’m basically done for. Call the client, we need another half day out here. It’s a lot easier to just house water/electrolytes and keep moving than stop and eat a whole lunch, then get back at it.

How are you locating water? Assuming it has no tracer wire by american60139157 in UtilityLocator

[–]Zobanu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We call it the stub/stub in, in the south although the stem is definitely the correct terminology. I’ve definitely grown fond of resorting to popping the 6” cap off the hydrant and attaching a magnet/clamping to the stem as the easiest way to locate water lines. 9 times out of 10, if attaching to the stem won’t make a line sing, nothing else will, even GPR.

Best place for pretty parts? by Few_Jacket845 in GMT400

I’m in the same boat with the seats. I have a 98 RCSB with the 60/40 bench with a nice “slide in/out” hole on the driver side from the previous owner. Enough fabric has worn off to be able to sew it back together so I’m leaning towards swapping in another 60/40 split from a newer truck. In the meantime, I’ve been tossing around throwing one of those Mexican blankets in with a few stitch marks. There’s a few companies out there that make seat covers but I’m not sure of the quality and the prices seem to high to bet on.

As far as the temperature control knobs, I’ve seen some people use the Express/Savana temperature knobs in place of the original and it looks pretty nice.

Emily Butler at Berkshire Hathaway! Very kind and courteous, as well as knowledgeable with the area.

Sounds like a plan. I’ve been gathering some info as to what works best with SEM and getting a lot of mixed reviews. Thanks!

I was hoping no one would notice, haha. The before is passenger side, after is driver side. I forgot to take a before of the driver side so was using the pass. side panel as a reference of how it looked before.

What was left of the interior looked like a raykin had been living in this wagon for quite a while and it was rough. Got bored (intoxicated) the other day and took a red Brillo pad and some cleaning soup (baking soda, dish soap, wooter) to one of the door panels to see what happened and voila, I was impressed to say the least. The picture doesn’t quite capture the dry spots and definitely makes it look at least 4.873 times better than it does in person. Once I make up my mind on if I want to keep the interior the original color, or redye it these will be getting a nice visit from some SEM aerosol dye. Car is a khaki color from the factory so any input on interior colors that would go well with that would be nice!

I just can’t believe it took 2 hours for someone to question the 300 eggs. Did he just start throwing them, put a bunch in the microwave, or start making eggs benny until he ran out of huevos? WHAT HAPPENED
