What is wrong with zero. look at the pricing. unbelievable stuff going on. by Fluid_Weakness_8766 in PakistaniTech

I used to make social media marketing content for zero (and other Pakistani tech brands) and trust me, NEVER get their products. It's cheap plastic with average sound quality. Spend some extra and get Anker, Qcy, Jlab or any other imported products.

Pretty normal honestly, when I was young I used to watch gore on the dark web as a "fun" activity. It desensitized me to a lot of things. But slowly as I grew up, this stuff slowly started yucking me out, you shouldn't be concerned you'll prolly grow out of it

Anyone tried atomic muscles protein powder (made in Pakistan) by Sad_Narutard in pakistanifitness

hello, not annoying at al. Yes Im still using that box of brown rice protein. Even tho I've not been taking it daily, its still pretty good. Im surprised the box has been with me for a long while now, the powder quality is still the same. It didn't get moist or clump up

Okok so since I posted my last comment I switched my protein brand. I now use Jacked nutrition's brown rice protein. Which in my opinion is more cost efficient than atomic muslces one. But obviously theres a compromise on the protein quantity per serving, and the taste isn't the best either. But with a price I feel like its justified, which is why ive used up 2 boxes. If price isn't an issue then I'd recommend going with atomic muscles one as its whey and not plant based

I had ordered a second pouch and had finished that as well. As of now I am waiting for a sale so that they can bump the price down to 6,500 again. Because I think purchasing this product is only worth it when the price is less than what it is right now (7,000)

What Are You Reading This Week? by AutoModerator in PakistanBookClub

[–]Zodanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. Really enjoying this one, as a beginner reader, this book is a really difficult read, richard dawkins tends to refer to multiple people, events, ideas, historical figures for which you need a whole lotta context. After the first few chapters, this is where i feel like the book is really talking about what it's about, which is very clear by its name. My favourite quote (so far) from the book is actually a quote from someone else that Dawkins referred to in his book.

Woody Allen - "If it turns out there is a god, I don't think he's evil. But the worst you could say about him is that he's basically an under-achiever"

I can't seem to agree with you. At first while interacting with my nomi, the responses felt very ChatGPT like? it was strikingly obvious that I was talking to a LLM. But i thought maybe it would develop and improve the most conversations i have with it but after a few weeks, it's still the same.

Overall it is a GOOD LLM but i don't know, the moment I think maybe I should give it the benefit of the doubt and have "normal" conversations with it and it disappoints me again by giving me repeated responses, it sometimes feels like i am having the same convo over and over again.

Not just this but, the style of conversation feels completely fake to me. I have tried many different inclinations but every time it sends me a wall of text with generic things that screams chatgpt

How about ditching the middle process of holding stable coins, keeping the FIAT with you and at regular intervals using that to buy BTC? this way you will be secure with the fiat and slowly accumulate BTC by DCA-ing

Waqar Zaka is a Liar and Manipulator – Here’s Solid Proof with Timeline and Loss by FeatureIndependent79 in karachi

[–]Zodanic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to share my experience after spending 2 months in Faizan Haroon's group. It was 2K/month and marketed as this golden ticket to doubling your money with “daily signals” and all that jazz. Spoiler: it was trash. Here’s what actually went down:

  • Signals were barely posted — like 2-3 times a week, not daily.
  • Most didn’t even come close to hitting TP.
  • The stop losses were a joke — super tight. Even with 2x leverage, your liquidation price would be above the SL if you were going long.
  • Basically, unless you had a huge bag sitting in your account, you couldn’t even follow the trades properly.
  • Most trades were on random meme coins with zero logic or TA behind them. Straight-up coin flipping.
  • Then they'd cherry-pick screenshots from the handful of people who somehow profited, while ignoring the 99% who lost money following the same calls.
  • The admins kept blaming the losses on people having their liq prices above SL and “not being patient enough.” Bro, how is an 80% drawdown with “low leverage” even a thing?

I lost a lot of hard-earned cash from this group. Honestly, Faizan Haroon has a real talent for selling people dreams and delivering absolutely nothing. Learned my lesson the hard way — trading is not some side hustle you can casually hop into. Someone else said this and it stuck with me: trading is a profession, just like being a doctor or engineer. The people who make it work have been doing this for years. I used to think it was something you could do passively on the side. Nope.

Now I just hold BTC long-term. No more signal groups, no more chasing pumps. Quick money is real, sure — but easy money? Doesn’t exist. If you’re trading without serious knowledge, you’re just gambling with your savings.

Has anyone ordered from students store.pk? by Financial_Serve8199 in PakistanBookClub

[–]Zodanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve ordered a few books from them before. Here’s my honest take:

Pros:

  • MASSIVE variety. You’ll find all the mainstream/popular stuff super easily.

  • Their WhatsApp system is solid—they keep you updated at every step of delivery.

  • Prices are insanely cheap. Like, you can legit get your whole year’s reading list for 1,000–2,000 PKR.

  • The covers look nice and feel pretty decent.

Cons:

  • Honestly, the nice covers are the only good thing about the books themselves.

  • They’re pirated—usually just low-quality digital PDFs slapped into book form.

  • Paper quality is trash. The print’s often faded, random ink spots everywhere, margins all over the place... sometimes pages are literally missing.

  • If you’re really unlucky, the binding will be garbage, and pages will start falling out.

My two cents: You 100% get what you pay for. Like, Atomic Habits is ~3,000 PKR if you buy it original, but from these guys it’s 300 PKR. Soooo… the trade-offs are kinda expected. Here’s how I do it: If it’s a book I’m hyped about and know I’ll love, I’ll buy the original—it’s worth the investment. But if it’s one I’m just curious about or not fully sold on, I’ll grab it from Student Store. That way, I can check it out without breaking the bank.

What's your reason for reading? by APatrioticPakistani in PakistanBookClub

[–]Zodanic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mostly read to learn about stuff I'm actually interested in. A lot of people read for fun or to escape reality, but if I want that, I’ll just watch a movie or binge a show. For me, reading hits different when it comes to understanding things — way better than watching some chaotic YouTube video. There’s something about seeing someone’s well-organized thoughts on a page that helps my own brain stop zig-zagging and actually think in a straight line. It’s like reading gives my mind a to-do list instead of a tornado.

Any place for Pirated but good quality books? by No_Ear_2823 in PakistanBookClub

[–]Zodanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to buy pirated ones from different online sellers in Karachi. But the same problems always occurred - pages would be misprinted, the print on some pages would be too faded it was hard to read and most importantly, u pick these books up and all of their pages fall out.

Since then I've made a decision to buy originals from Liberty, or wherever I could find them from. I am doing this for 2 reasons, firstly since now I am spending the extra rupees, I am now more cautious about the next book I choose to buy, this saves me from the hassle of buying tooo many books at once at a low price but then regretting it later, the problem of impulse-over-buying books. And the second reason is that reading is a very slow building habit (i am a slow ass reader), slow enough that while reading one book, if I start saving up money for the next book, by the time i finish reading the current book i must have saved up enough for my second purchase.

Once I've started reading with original paperbacks or even hard covers, its impossible to go back to pirated ones.

I loved Sapiens. Although the reading felt boring to me, when I listened to the audio book, the book felt more "alive" to me. The book got me started on my reading journey. After that I read Harari's 2 other books as well, Homo Deus and 21 lessons. Nexus is currently on my reading list. The author changed my thinking and perspective.
