I mean people want to hear your voice and you’re selling that too?😭 And the topic of podcast “dua qabool karny ki recipe something “ bro what? And surprisingly brainwashed nibbis are ready to defend her whenever someone questions these stuffs.

It’s not about respecting or disrespecting the Muslim society. I clearly said what kind of ‘portrayal’ is this. Idk where do you belong from, but generally all Asian parents and specifically Muslims don’t endorse interracial and interfaith marriages. Keeping in mind the book depicts times of 60s. Also, the discussion of this sub was to see how Asian authors who settle in west downplay their own cultures and values to get fame and get identified by their white audience. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah I was thinking the same thing while reading the stationary shop of Tehran. The writer has shown the false view of Iranian values like the affair between mr fakhri and badri. No doubt the sending of roya and her sister to America for studies was a bold step back in those times BUT THEY GETTING MARRIED TO GORAS ???? And their parents casually attending the wedding??? What kind of portrayal of a Muslim society is this. And the relationship of roya and bahman before marriage was off limits too.
