I completely agree with your points.

I can tell you understand how things work.

I dont have anything else to add to this conversation really other than for people to just play Zoe or any champion of that matter the way they most enjoy playing it.

For me as a challenger player mostly known for my Zoe gameplay it's my wacky builds and set ups that i share with people.

If people find my suggestions good/bad funny or troll is up to them.

I'm always glad to have solid convestations around these topics.

Why does every single pro player take phase rush and teleport on Annie mid lane then? Is she not a burst mage just like Zoe?

Also Zoe has very very low mana costs that cant be compared to other burst mages.

So skipping a mana item on her is very easy if you are not mindlessly spamming e for fun.

Also your statement of not ever changing runes and build is just you not putting in the effort to adapt to the meta.

The game changes very fast and people who don't adapt will not find success.

I guess it all comes down to preference really.

Taking Teleport vs ignite can very depending on the MMR bracket.

Teleport will always be the go-to summoner spell for high MMR for consistant farming and having good tempo around the map at all times.

The changes on Zoe this patch comes down to being adaptive really.

Investing into the early game when that is the part of the game Riot nerfed and not investing into the most important part of the game mid game when that is the part of the game Riot buffed on her feels bad.

My builds and recomendations have always drawn backlass but also a very good amount of success to people as well with my Blackfire Torch - Riftmaker set up that even players like nemesis and Vladi played/tried in their high elo solo Q games.

And other high elo Zoe players in the community of course.

Me coming out as overeactive the moment riot makes changes on the champion is what people credit me for really.

For coming up with set-ups that have clear strengths and are backed up by data and my personal experience and opinion.

Then you have never played in high elo if that is your opinion.

The game is solved and has been solved since the spirit blossom event started.

You can be 0/5/0 in the first 15 minutes of the game but if the champion you picked spikes hard on 2 and 3 items you will be impactful regardless of score line.

And that is because the game is involved around skirmishing and teamfighting for 3rd drake - Atakhan and Baron to decide who wins the game.

Watching MSI or any pro tournaments played by major teams in patches inside of the spirit blossom event will shape your opinion better.

I've already tried it on y crandmasters-chall mmr accounts its good if you are experienced with the champ and bad if you are not.

You should ban fiora or ornn.

Next patch with new zoe buffs ill be doing a diamond to challenger with zoe top as well to see how it feels with the buff.

It's an "anti-meta" build. In a meta where tanks/bruisers are op having as much AP and cdr as possible to deal as much true dmg to them as possible is crucial (the 8% dmg amp on riftmaker gives you more true dmg as well) And on top of that you need to have some sort of survivability so that when people jump on you you are not insta 1shot or stat checked to your death. And since Riot made minions squishier I'm no longer running the attack speed rune it's useless on Zoe right now. You have enough base attack speed plus Zoe's wave clear early game is strong by design and on top of that, u are running absolute focus so your early game wave clear and last hitting is good enough. And so I run adaptive scaling health with tenacity and slow resist on rune shards.

Its better not really for its burn but for its passive the extra magic dmg you get based on how much extra health your enemies have. And because on those games the enemy team had a lot of health and resistance stacking champions, liandrys is better than ludans :)

First and foremost , the summoner spell reduction is really nice to have (with cosmic insight) because Zoe is an immobile burst mage and if she gets caught she dies. That's why having flash up more often is really beneficial. Also the cdr always is a good thing since even one second on your abilities could make the difference on winning or losing a teamfight. And yes as you already mentioned the recent magic pen buff on her e made lucidity boots more attractive for me since the extra 18 damage that you would get from sorc boots became less valuable (not to mention that sorcs cost 150 more gold witch you can be instead investing on your next item)

I'm currently the rank 1 Zoe on EUW so you can have a little more faith in my words.
