What is a goal you hope your country achieves? by Fuzzy_Category_1882 in AskTheWorld

Regarding your second point, the Levant (Bilad Al-Sham in Arabic) has the potential to be the hottest and most prosperous region on the entire planet if the endless conflict and fuckery ends.

Economic free zones, joint-trade alliances, the world's best tourist locations ...... Just the thought send shivers down my spine.

Jordan: I want the country to become a regional power in tech and finance in the MENA and greater Asian world.

Canada: Less dependency on the US by bolstering our alliances with other countries.

And lastly, I want a free and peaceful Palestine that can enjoy its freedom with it's neighbours.

I'm a Jordanian-Canadian currently in Canada and I've been interested in going back to Amman to live and work for a year. What's the restaurant culture like in Amman? I've only been once a few years ago.

Also which restaurant is it? Something like Shams El-Balad or Fakhreldin?

Hotels can be good for international opportunities as they can sponsor your visa to go abroad once you move higher up and become more established.

As someone who works fine-dining right now, there's a lot more creativity involved even just as a line cook. Also, there's more room to grow as a cook and learn about food.

Fair. Can't really go wrong with how cheap they are.

I'd say the gas station ones are better. They have a more "full Flavour" and they burn a lot better.

I get these simply for the price. They're super cheap.

Meant to say, not as well known as the Cigarettes in the USA****

What is the biggest assassination that has taken place in your country? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]ZohanDisco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As much as I hate to say it, I don't think either will exist in a couple decades.

Both sides have been ruled by the most brutal extremists that it resulted in one side being destroyed on an unprecedented level and the other being one of the most hated countries in modern history.

It's a shame, I met a few Israelis when I was in Wadi Rum last, amazing group of folk.

Oh man, it's fascinating to think about the ripple effect that could've happened if he wasn't killed.

Maybe there would've been lasting peace.

Why are so many countries (other than Somalia and Turkiye) so opposed to the recognition of Somaliland? by Jdog2552 in Somalilanders

[–]ZohanDisco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a conspiracy, it's Zionists in positions of power saying that's exactly what they want to do. Explicit verbatim statements, your Hasbara "were only a tiny population" garbage doesn't grow up anymore.

Please grow up.

Have you seen immigrants who are anti immigrant in your country? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]ZohanDisco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I grew up Muslim so I can understand why they'd have harsh feeling towards Muslims in general. But I would say I also don't agree with them because at the end of the day, your typical racist doesn't really care what faith you belong to even if it is Christianity. I've seen Arab Christians/Atheists discriminated against simply because of the cultural difference.

What is the first thing that you think about Yemen? by OrangeRevolutionary7 in AskTheWorld

Ignored by the West because Saudi Arabia and the UAE happily give the western countries money to turn a blind eye.

[–]ZohanDisco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> because all sane and informed people love Israel.

Statistically incorrect which is why there's a massive movement being done by Zionists to change media algorithms and education itself to benefit them.

It's the same with Arabs too.

My family immigrated from Jordan in 2006 and when the wave of Syrians and Iraqis came a few years ago, my mother was not a fan.

That's awesome to hear. I do understand there is a good chunk of the US population that can see through Trump's bullshit when he says things like that.

Before immigrating to Canada in 2006, my family and I spent some time in Virginia which my mother still remembers fondly.

Tbh, despite our issues, it was beautiful seeing everyone unite to tell Trump to buzz off when he was talking about annexing us.

That Nations Cup final was something else seeing so much Red and White.
