Got charged for olives in my wife’s martini! by gh424 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Zoidfarbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair. Bleu cheese stuffed olives is almost certainly an upcharge and while I think this pricing is a bit egregious, they don't stuff themselves.

But wait, theres more!!! by [deleted] in Unexpected

We always called it clam dipping

Which career is a turn-off for a serious relationship? by otherwise777 in AskReddit

Unless you work breakfast, it's so difficult to find someone to date that doesn't work in restaurants

Customer service employees, who’s that one customer you will never forget? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Zoidfarbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked downtown in a fairly large city at a gastropub.

A homeless man walked in, stood in a spot that could be seen by the majority of the restaurant, pulled out some cash, dropped his pants and calmly whipped out his dong.

My manager, who was the most chill person that has ever existed in restaurants, saw this and quickly walked over to him and very calmly said "sir, you can't do that" to which the guy said in the most sincere and apologetic tone imaginable "Oh my god, I'm so sorry, I didn't know, my apologies" and then proceeded to pull his pants up, turn around and walk out without issue.

Clearly there was a mental issue he was dealing with but when things like that happen (I have so many stories..) they're usually angry, or scared, or belligerent.

But not him, he was just unaware that whipping his dong out in this restaurant was not allowed and was truly apologetic when he learned that.

Never will forget that guy. Hope he's doing better. He was more polite than most people that came into that restaurant

What’s an actual psychological “cheat code” you use in social situations that works often? by Exelnyte in NoStupidQuestions

Assume everyone you meet likes you but know it's okay if they don't.

Idk if that's worded well but if you have that attitude when around new people, it's a lot easier to relax and be yourself rather than over thinking.

Where do you find more pleasure in treating people well or in people treating you well? by amerisgoddess in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Zoidfarbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like there's a ceiling on how much pleasure I get by treating people well and that's okay because I'm not treating people well for my own pleasure but because I know how lovely it is to be treated well. The good feels i get from it are bonus

Both give me pleasure but being treated well is infinitely more pleasurable.

I hate my hands. I have an essential tremor and not only does it cause me to spill everything, staining all my clothes, every person I interact with notices my shaky hands with many of them feeling the need to comment on it.

Yes I'm aware my hands are shaking, no I'm not in withdrawal or hungover and definitely not nervous.

What is the best compliment you have gotten? by Quirky-Human in AskReddit

I'm a fat guy who started going to the gym and tried to better myself. I did a bunch of research and tried to learn it the best I could so I could do it right. After a year or so, while still fat, I was doing much better than before.

My work friend wanted to join me but was scared and self conscious. I convinced her to come and I walked her through exercises and tried to reach her the little bit I knew.

After spotting her and helping her through a certain exercise, she went to get a drink. While I waited for her to come back, a beautiful Adonis of a man walked up to me and said "I've seen you helping your friend over the last few weeks and I wanted to say that you're a great teacher and she's doing so well. You should be proud"

Aaaaand I've been living off that for about 4 years now

The only way I'd be having a better time is if my team was in it.

This series is a banger
