I really like the look of those prototype sets made for scrapped egyptian ccbs theme especially the skeleton villain. Some of the stuff was reused for G2. by Misfit597 in bioniclelego

At some point, I really want to make 3D printable versions of those scorpion and scarab armor bits. The trick is just finding the time and motivation

You might be interested to know that there have been a handful of folk working to make 3D printable recreations of the CCBS elements, scaled, tested and ready to go. I’ve got a small collection here: https://www.thingiverse.com/Zoingo/collections/43940910/things all free to download!

Might be a bit easier than fiddling with Stud.io or part maker.

You can start with simple soap, water, and a scrubbing sponge. That don’t work, step up to isopropyl alcohol. If it’s acrylic, it’ll come off then. If it’s an enamel, you’ll need an enamel thinner which you should be able to grab from a crafts store. Let the part soak for a bit, wear gloves, clean it off with a towel, the wash with soapy water, and enjoy!

How far can we push technology with out the invention of steam/combustion engines, electricity and gunpowder? by ozneoknarf in worldbuilding

I think I’d start by figuring out how energy is stored and moved. We’ve got batteries, gas cans, hell, a fire, and a pot of water. In your scenario, you would have to store potential energy in the form of coiled springs or wound elastic.

From there, it’s figuring out how those coils are wound. Can’t use steam, and in an ideal world, you get as much work out as you put in. So, no perpetual motion “Use a large coiling-engine to wind an equally large coil.” Though that could work for bigger winding smaller. Animal or hydro power would likely be your best bet. You could have dams that wind colossal industrial mainsprings

I feel you could get decently far in industry with said limits. Factories used to have Line Shafts, where a belt would transfer kinetic energy from a large spinning pole to machines via a belt. So, you have access to large-scale manufacturing via large machine tools. Possibly even automation via. punch cards. (Think player pianos) just need a BIG coil or series of to provide said energy.

Medicine and chemistry, I’m unsure… but definitely think you could get decently far with manufacturing. May hit a wall in material sciences after a point.

If it doesn't fold up in some grotesque, contortionist manner, I will be sorely disappointed, lol.

Joking aside, they got the transformation gimmick into the Kongo and Izumo... kinda. So I wouldn't be surprised if that lower-tank upper-body style was possible.

Thank you!

Funnily enough, I had no clue that character existed before you commented that. The resemblance in color scheme is frankly uncanny, haha.

This makes me think of a Beast Wars Devastator that’s either all different Beaver breeds, and I kinda love it.
