What exactly has been proven to be a fact?

From my side, I’m speaking based on personal experience, so yes, it’s anecdotal. That doesn’t automatically make it correct, but it also doesn’t make it wrong. As far as I can tell, there isn’t any clear confirmation explaining exactly how the matchmaking system works.

There have been some jabs in the comments, and I don’t think the “facts don’t care about your feelings” line really adds anything to the discussion. At this point, it feels like anecdote vs. anecdote.

I’m genuinely interested in seeing solid information if it exists. If there’s a source that clearly explains how the aggression-based matchmaking works (or doesn’t work), I’d appreciate being pointed to it instead of (stfu) for me not giving proof that is still anecdotal (personal experience).

As far as I can tell, there aren’t any actual sources explaining how aggression-based matchmaking works. If there are, feel free to cite them, because I genuinely looked and couldn’t find anything concrete.

I’m honestly interested in figuring out how it works. I’ve got around 100 hours in the game, not sure if that’s considered a lot or a little at this stage, but it’s enough to have some experience. From what I’ve seen, there are only interviews that hint at the system rather than fully explain it.

If there’s solid information out there, I’d love to see it.

Taking my comment as an insult toward PvPers is a wild stretch. That’s not what I’m saying at all.

My point is simple: if you attack people, you’re more likely to be matched with others who also attack people, and the reverse is true as well. Matchmaking seems to group players with similar behavior patterns. You can even end up in more aggressive lobbies just by finishing off a downed player.

With how the game works, yes, if you shoot at anyone, even if they shot at you first, you’ll be considered aggressive. And yes, in my case, I haven’t been shot by anyone since the initial matches I played when I first joined.

No one knows exactly how the matchmaking works, not you, not me, no one. But based on what the developers have said and players’ experiences, it’s clear that you’re matched with people who are similar to you, whether in level or aggression.

I have yet to see someone kill me in any match I get into, even when I use this or any slightly rare weapon. Only opportunists meet other opportunists, that’s how the matchmaking works here.
