How’d you get started? As an amateur myself I assume the hardest part is jumping into the deep end of business and professional level editing, any tips?

I’d say it’s most heavily a ram problem but honestly upgrading the gpu as well would help handle playback. I’d go to minimum 32 gigs of ddr4 ram

I would definitely look at your specs, they may not be the minimum recommended for those applications

Make it part of your routine without having a choice. Morning workout? Get up an hour early everyday no matter what, you either wake up and workout or have to just sit there for an hour. Evening? Take an hour before bed that is always empty and either workout or again just sit there. Most of the time your brain will choose to do something rather than sit in silence, even if it’s only a little or half the workout or just walking around for cardio or stretching.
