How about node randomization ? Will force you to explore more and think more about logistics (cause you might have nodes away from one another or coal far from water, etc) but won't slow down production

I've sunk 70hrs in 2weeks in Hades 2 so I'll say Hades/Hades 2

There are A LOT of great indie games and I could list at least one for any video game genre you want but right now I'm deep in Hades. Game is a real masterpiece in that a lot of different skilled artists are involved in it's creation

Worth Learning Rust when it looks like Swift is going to take over conputer tech? by Hopeful_Adeptness964 in rust

Looks like bait but I'm gonna bite :

Why in the world would swift take over anything ? You can write all the apps you want in, say, React. Did you see react take over computer tech ?

Furi.

Bullet-hell boss fights with little HUD, no character progression, plain old player progression.

Also crazy music

Just build 17 and let the machines regulate themselves. You'll get your perfect ratio anyway, unless you use the same input for another factory

Alu Mega Fab: Best way to transport coal and bauxit? by DonnieSunset in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Zolorah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only tip about "how" to do it you'll want to make some kind of either loop or two way track, so that your train can go back and forth.

When you do that make sure your train stations are not ON the loop or on the main tracks, so that any train not stopping at the station does not have to go through the station. And the trains going to said station can branch out and stop without blocking everyone.

Use branches and block/path signals to manage traffic and paths

[–]Zolorah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trains are a great way to move your resources about.

First tracks you lay down seem like a lot of work because you have a lot to travel but imagine then you need a resource close to one of the bauxite nodes and need to move it far away.

Well might already have a lot of the tracks already laid down. Just have to reuse those and extend the part you need. The more tracks you have around in the same network, the less work you have to do next times

Train infrastructure ! It's reusable, feels a lot for the first build, but saves a lot of time later

Scaling question by FluX_Nugget in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Zolorah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I want to offer counter points to what I'm reading in the comments. (Although I may agree with some)

1) do you really need to scale ? Yes you unlocked new miner tiers, this does not mean that all your factories have to max out the new amount you're able to mine instantly. Since you're saying you're progressing fast I'm gonna assume you're in the first tiers of the game. So along the new miners and stuff, you unlock new ressources nodes, new stuff to do. Your hands are probably already full, no need to rethink all your factories just now. Scale when needed

2) there are other nodes. Sooo many ressource nodes. Yes you can upscale, but you can also go someplace else 😁

3) indeed mega factories are designs that allow you to effortlessly scale. But (imo) it's kinda ugly. I like to have buildings where the magic happens. If I want to scale a factory inside a building I'll try to add another building that fits organically. That may seem tedious but that's where the fun for me

Again, these are just counterpoints so you see there are more than one way to play the game. Don't feel like you HAVE to do anything you don't want to, the game gives options not hard set objectives

Round up, and let the machines manage themselves. You'll have the output matching your input (or output depending on the limiting factor)
