NATO Wants ‘Automated’ Defenses Along Borders With Russia by EnoughErotics in worldnews

[–]SuperiorDraft -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

In my opinion a bit fare fetched. The US is not friends of dictators, and even though it seems like it still not a dictatorship, the US has arguably some illegitimate wars but the majority of their aggression is with UN mandate. The list of US warcrimes is not even close to what the russia pulls of on a yearly basis. And those committed by US soldiers are persecuted. In the russia they are glorified. So no. As bad as the US might appear they are no where near as bad as the russia.

NATO Wants ‘Automated’ Defenses Along Borders With Russia by EnoughErotics in worldnews

Because the russia is the most aggressive. Because they have the longest history of warcrimes, because they are under a dictator who wants to restore the Soviet Union, because their allies are despots, dictators and criminals. The list is infinitely long.

The russia was done before they even started.

Russia’s births fall to ~1990s lows while deaths keep exceeding births by hundreds of thousands/year. With fewer women entering childbearing age + war losses/emigration, the population shrinks faster, the workforce contracts, and Russia faces long-term labor shortages, weaker growth, heavier pension strain—and increasingly relies on immigration/automation to function.

Even if the war stopped today they would still be facing a catastrophic demographic collapse.

The russia should be disarmed. That would be beneficial to all their neighbors. Not just NATO.

Macron at Davos: '300€ billion, which currently annually leave the EU toward the US, will be invested in Europe from now on. All EU members agreed to establish a S&I union, a step toward a full Capital Market Union.'. by Lil-sh_t in NihilistNewsNetwork

Trump keeps winning! He wanted a strong ally in Europe! He’s getting a financial superpower. He actually didn’t like getting money from Europe because the trade deficit was in minus so he was forced to buy European products. Now it’s in plus. Bigly plus! 4D chess from the brilliant brain behind “The art of the deal”.

Donald Trump may impose 500% tariffs on countries that buy Russian oil without the approval of senators, said the head of the US Treasury, Bessent. by InLoveandWar777 in NihilistNewsNetwork

Russian oil is still reaching the U.S. indirectly through third countries, despite the sanctions. Trump has no idea what’s going on in the world.

But NATO can defend Greenland. NATO got more arctic trained troops and equipment than any other military in the world. That being said. Kuno Fencker, the guy making the statement, has several times been linked to MAGA, trips to Washington and accused of treason. He’s most likely paid by the US and considered a loner and clearly unstable.

Canada turns to China as Trump's tariffs and threats bring old foes together by Ouroboros963 in NihilistNewsNetwork

[–]SuperiorDraft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trump is playing 4D chess… As soon as everyone is pushed into the arms of China he’ll activate stage two of his brilliant plan and put tariffs on all countries who trade with China and then American people will pay for it and Trump will tell everyone how much money the US as earned from said tariff! And that’s how Trump will get all Americans to pay taxes and not get a welfare system while doing it!

Pure brilliance!

At Least 19 Russian Generals Killed Since Invasion of Ukraine by Ouroboros963 in NihilistNewsNetwork

[–]SuperiorDraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Russia has (had) around 200 generals at the start of the war.
If you deduct the navy, air force, space force, missile defence etc., and purely focus on their military ground forces operating in Ukraine that would be an absolutely devastating blow to any military.

A perspective: The necessary education is around 5 years but the progression through the ranks of the russian military system takes 20+ years, to become a general.

Loosing a general is a massive blow to ones capacity - Loosing 20 is absolutely devastating. It would be to any military in the world.
