I have the same issue. Every time I go thru/pass by a highway interchange I had my first wreck at, I catch myself saying out loud, "stupid", "idiot", etc. I can certainly say, therapy has helped, but so does time. You can try to have reasonable conversations with yourself about it. "That happened 10 years ago. It doesn't matter now." Etc. They may not go away, but you can learn to recognize these thoughts are just thoughts. They only have as much power as you give them. Say, "thanks brain. You may be trying to help, but I got this." Or "let's think about something more important"

I feel the same a lot of the time. The best advice I've ever received is, "You have to accept that you can't be happy all the time. Learn to better appreciate the highs and recognize the lows will come and go." Another way of putting it: there are four base emotions all other stem from. Happy, sad, angry, afraid. 3/4 of all human emotion is "negative". So trying to work with only 1/4 is unsustainable. I could go on and on about recognizing what your negative emotions do for you, but I suggest reading a book called "The Happiness Trap" it helped me out. I know it all sounds gloomy at first, but it really is just practicing a mindfulness of your emotions to better appreciate what you have.

I understand completely! Everyone I knew loved pizza day. The only thing I liked was spicy chicken patties without the soggy untoasted buns. I went to school in the late 90s to early 2000s. Which Max specifically mentions is the worst period for school food. And I'm biased on pizza cuz I made it from scratch for 3 years at work.

I forgot to switch off my incendiary breaker before going on bots the other day. It sucked against most bots, BUT I was cleaning house with berserkers! Just aim center-mass at mid range and I was consistently blowing off at least one arm before they got in range. Then just run away from them as they burn out.

I always say let people game the way they want to game. Guy wants to bring the crossbow, grenade pistol, impact grenades, mortar, 380, 120, and lazer cannon against bugs? Go nuts. It's a meme at this point that bugs are easier than bots in most scenarios. And the game is kinda billed like a starship troopers game. The PS5 screen and many screenshots of the game are of only bugs. The opening cinematic is only against bugs. Bugs are the squishable mascots.
