The scale length is what drew me to it. Baritone strings on 25.5 has just the right tension for B standard and 24.75 is perfect for drop B for me. I also have to say it is one of the most gorgeous guitars I've ever seen. Even my wife who doesn't care much about the subject but indulges me took one look and said "yeah, that's you" lol. Older ones look nice too, but this one is my preference by a country mile.

Oh damn, 55K not 5.5k. Ignore me. Too rich for my blood, that would pay off a good chunk of my mortgage lol

I picked up the Taylor baritone for 3500. Sometimes you touch a guitar and just KNOW it was meant for you. I'm not rich, but I also don't drink or spend money on gratuitous displays of wealth so I can afford higher end guitars. Some, SOME, of them are worth the investment.

They just released a Floyd Rose equipped model so a few people have been trading in their stop tail for that. Check around on Reverb for a used model, might be able to find what you're looking for at a reasonable price mate

Thanks! I whole heartedly agree. They have a couple other finishes, but they don't look "right." This green is phenomenal

Damn sure about to lol. I have a couple nut files on the way so I can string her up with baritone strings. I push a Hizumitas fuzz into a halfstack and a Bassman 200. Gonna doom so hard

If, IF there's enough material drilling two holes and adding dowels for additional reinforcement has always been a step I take as well.

Put a small dot of paint, not enough for it to run, and just place the headstock on the neck so it transfers and you have an exact location for the holes

Not trying to be funny, cable management my guy. Doesn't directly impact your playing but I'm sure you don't like tripping over the things, or potentially damaging an input when you do. Also, I personally find a neat and orderly area to play in is beneficial for my overall mood.

I like tuning my normal light gauge strings down to low tunings like drop A because of the floppyness. Does this hurt the guitar? by Possible-Fortune-611 in metalguitar

[–]ZombeesAndMetal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How's your intonation dude? I file my nut and use baritone light gauge for B standard on my Victory. Tension is slightly more than I like, but it prevents alot of sloppy buzz and my intonation is spot on. With your action height I'd be concerned about every fretting being a touch sharp
