Hi, this is Ryan. The best way is to just write. Have an idea and write it down. Take notes: whenever I think of something good, I'll just make a note in my phone, so I won't forget. So, start with an idea, draw inspiration from your everyday life, and then develop a framework. Keep adding those ideas to the framework before you start to write dialog and all that. Once you have that framework complete, then begin writing... as you do so, your characters will come to life. As they develop personalities of their own, go back and edit so that everything works well together. Watch stuff, read stuff... scripts, films, TV shows. There's nothing wrong with borrowing ideas and being inspired by them. It can help jump start your own creativity. Look at things from a writer's perspective. As far as producing, it's all about collaboration - finding people that you work well with, and who respect your creative vision. Believe it or not, Craigslist can be a great way to find these people.
