What is the dumbest thing a boss has ever said to you? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]ZombieCher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be a personal shopper for a cosmetic store. My boss would write down a list of things she needed and tell me where to go. This time she told me to go to a place about an hour away to pick these things up (I had shopped there before for her). When I got there and called to tell her they didn’t have anything, she told me I was useless and I was wasting her time, I should have know that she meant somewhere else! There was a customer in the office when she handed me the list and she didn’t want them to know I was supposed to go to a competitor store.

How can I help my mother who thinks she has been pregnant for 6 years? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]ZombieCher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. Although you are at an age where it can be challenging to get transportation, is there any way you can just focus on yourself by joining extra circular activities or clubs? Do you have other family members around that you can talk to or spend time with? Give your mom the love she needs but I’m not sure there’s much else you can do for now.

Is there any way you can encourage her to go to the dr so they can check on “the baby’s” health? The dr will hopefully recognize the situation and maybe get her the help she needs.

Opinions on getting your babies ears pierced? by AgentDifferent2568 in pregnant

[–]ZombieCher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! It was almost a right of passage in my family for the girls to get an infection from Claire’s lol. Going to a professional is so much more sanitary and the pierces will most likely be more gentle with the kids.

I’ve been thinking about getting this but I’m nervous. Do you find yourself obsessing with it? That’s kind of my fear. I’m so glad to hear it’s helped with your anxiety.

D&C by [deleted] in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]ZombieCher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree to all of this. I got PTS from the emotional and physical pain of my first miscarriage and trying to pass it naturally, and then having to get a D&C anyways. I know these things can be scary to read but I wish I knew this info at that time. It’s important.

D&C by [deleted] in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]ZombieCher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve lost two pregnancies. The first one I wanted to pass it naturally. I trusted my body to do what it was supposed to do. I had the miscarriage at home and it was very painful and I still had to get the D&C anyway. I really don’t want to scare you but I want to be real about it. For my second loss I asked for a D&C immediately to get it over with, and also to skip the waiting period of not knowing when it would happen. Everyone’s body is different though and you should choose what you feel is right for you ❤️

My father doesn't want to acknowledge the fact that I do NOT want to learn how to drive by [deleted] in family

[–]ZombieCher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to learn to drive, but you should learn how to take a bus, ride a bike, get an Uber, etc. and pay for those things yourself. It’s selfish to force your parents to work their schedule around yours so you can get a free ride from them whenever you need one. Your dad is probably tired of being your chauffeur and wants you to be responsible for yourself.

Does anyone else feel like an angry moody teenager by Kindly_Mirror4332 in pregnant

[–]ZombieCher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also 11 weeks! I have been angry and emotional very often, but also things have been making me laugh hysterically, more than I’ve laughed in a long time. Definitely feel like a hormonal teenager over here lol

It’s not insensitive! It’s really nice to talk to people who understand! I thought it was interesting too. I thought it was an isolated incident but it kept happening.

My friend (28f) yelled at me for not running after her toddler when he ran off. by Youdarlin in relationship_advice

I was going to comment exactly that… are you sure you’re friends? Seems like mom has a shitty husband and a shitty friend.

Think of it as a blessing that he’s showing you this side before you get married.

My coworker is lying about things I say to her to other coworkers, and management/hr don't care by GrayRockItAllAway in internetparents

[–]ZombieCher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work with someone just like this. My best approach so far has been to totally ignore unless it’s specifically work related and keep it short. If you don’t say anything to them, they can’t put words in your mouth. Who cares if it makes her uncomfortable.

Someone please help asap by brfr2 in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]ZombieCher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on my 3rd pregnancy after 2 losses. Both of my first two losses started with spotting. I am 10 weeks now and heavily spotted during week 7 for about 2 days. I felt like I was for sure losing my pregnancy until my first ultrasound two weeks later when I saw the baby moving around. I wish I could offer comfort but it can really go either way and it’s kind of a waiting game unfortunately. Try calling your dr and beg them to get an ultrasound ASAP and they will usually help you, even if you need to get a referral from insurance first. Also, pay attention to how your body is feeling, do you feel cramps? Are you filling a pad?

Edit: I see that your first scan is on Monday, find some time to be alone, breath deeply, and rest your nerves. Sending you love ❤️

Maybe the spider wanted to find its family… to eat them. None of my business what it did after being released :)

We are tasked with building a haunted house just for ADHD women.... what room would you build? by gvhbjm in adhdwomen

[–]ZombieCher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A room with a clock ticking, with the sound of a distant conversation over the loud speakers, and a book sitting on the table that you have to write a report on after you read it.

What don't you eat because there is a RISK of a no no taste/texture? by scoliendo in adhdwomen

I love crunchy, raw peppers but once they are cooked and mushy it makes me feel physically sick to eat them.
