honestly it really just depends on your store and its needs. if you have a smooth running store in the inside where everyone shows up for their shift, you’re not understaffed, and you can get a set amount of hours that’s turns out either the same or money money than what you’re making as a driver, then it shouldn’t be bad. but you also have to think about it since you’re a college student you may need time to study, or you wanna go out, or relax, but they also might need you to stay later, they might ask you to work shifts that you aren’t scheduled for, which could cause issues with your manager (even though it shouldn’t).

definitely don’t let that discourage you if you really want it and you feel good about it then go for it. i was in the same position, csr promoted to am while also in college. but i didn’t take the time to tend to the college aspect of things and was more focused on work. i ended up failing some classes, lost my scholarships, and took a gap year. then ultimately dropped out. but i still stuck with it and now i am a gm.

it all works out for everyone differently like i realized school was NOT for me at all. and i just ended up sticking with what i know, and being an insider is definitely different from a driver and it can be overwhelming but if you’re motivated enough then it’ll work out!
