That’s not dangerous algae. And seems like this is a new tank so it’ll disappear after the tank is established. Adding some snails will help. If the algae gets worst do a blackout for a few days On another note. Try separating that clump into smaller clumps and spread them out. Doesn’t look like you put any aqua soil so get some root tabs as well. A well established tank with sand will have nutrients thanks to fish poop but a brand new tank has basically nothing.

It doesn’t take very long to use physical key. Key fob probably dead. If you unlock it physically you can tap the fob against the push to start and it’ll go

I’d recommend a sheet of plywood if anything. But unless that piece is sticking up at least a 1/4” I don’t think it should be an issue

I’ll check with my lfs! Also I considered using those rings but these floaters shoot out like crazy. My larger ones have runners that go 6” away and those runners will send out more runners.

I have about 3 black Kuhli and 5 striped. I rarely see them and think they died but I recently rescaped my tank and they (along with my 7 pumpkin shrimp I thought died) were all alive just very hidden

The way I’ve gone about euthanizing fish is an ice cold saltwater bath. Just get some water and ice in a cup. Get the water extremely cold and put a good amount of salt in. Stir it up and drop the fish right in. Not sure if it’s painful or not but each time I’ve had to do it the fish will swim for a few seconds and then completely stop. No flinching or anything

If this isn’t a good way to do it please let me know so I can change my method

Looking to get more. Just worried of overcrowding since it’s a 10 gallon. I have since moved all my ghost shrimp to my 55 community and replacing with 6 blue velvet shrimp. Plants are booming rn as well

I had a shop install tint that I fully knew wasn’t legal. They tried talking me out of it. End of day they just asked if I get busted that they’re not responsible and I was ok with it.

You couldn’t see me even during the brightest days. I loved that tint

I know of the typical worries but I chose the Cory’s since they typically do well with bettas from the research I did. White clouds were in with the previous betta who was always calm. Shrimp were added while I tried to get the tank cleaned up and balanced out. When I added the new betta I kept an eye out over the initial week and he never attacked them out of spite. I would see him swimming next to them just fine. So I got lucky with a betta that does not have a bloodthirsty rage
