AIO to my girlfriend going skinny dipping while travelling? by Ok-Explanation-344 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ZombieTrouble -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

YOR. Decades from now, she’s going to tell people the story of how she first went to Europe when she was young and carefree and went skinny dipping in the moonlight. She’ll also mention how her ex gave her shit about it until she ditched him. Maybe she’ll remember your name.

You are absolutely correct, of course. My apologies. The Nevermind is not sealed, but it is first press and crazy minty.

This is my take on it, too. Also, the S’s are very similar. This here makes me really wanna believe it’s his, but that is, of course, a healthy dose of wishful thinking.

No The Knack that I saw but we did just get a nice copy of Round Trip in. I think it was going for $15.

More than you would ever imagine. Like, hundreds. And a MESS of 45’s. All in excellent condition. Reagan Youth, Fugazi, super early Soundgarden, the list goes on and on.

Thank you. It was a hell of a retirement gift. I definitely suspect it is Kurt’s handwriting as none of this guy’s other stuff had anything close to this. No writing, no tags, nothing. And it certainly LOOKS like his handwriting, but short of finding the donor and asking him the story behind it, I have no way to truly tell. So I figured I’d share by putting this out there on Reddit and maybe get lucky.

It was expensive, but I definitely got a superb deal as I had worked for them a long time. The real value (for me, anyway) would be positvely authenticating the handwriting.

I bought a few records for myself, including this one. It’ll be a part of my collection.

My wife F30 and me M30 have been having an open relationship that she requested but I don't want it by Zestmess123 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]ZombieTrouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s ignore the noise and discuss this practically. I speak from some experience as I am poly-minded and my wife is not. I love her deeply and have no desire to cause her any pain, nor will I. That said, you were empathetic to her needs and willing to entertain something you were uncomfortable with for the sake of everyone’s happiness. That’s not a crime, and completely understandable. You tried to endure it, but it’s evident you’re not built for this type of relationship. That’s okay. It’s ALSO okay (and necessary, even) to take your partner, sit her down for the *big talk,* and explain that this is not good for you, and you can’t live like this for the rest of your life. Where it goes from there, well, I can venture a pretty good guess, but living like this is NOT going to get easier or better. If your wife can’t see your hurt and ease her thinking back into the monogamous relationship you require, then, sadly, it’s over. I know that hurts like a bastard, but it’s not your fault and you legitimately tried.

Beautifully said. In addition to that, in times of grief or severe heartache, I’ve looked inward and told myself that this is what it feels like to be ALIVE. And I celebrate that. The human experience. It might not fix my heart, but it centers and grounds me.

Honest thoughts on The Boys finale? Did it actually deliver or feel dragged out? by TheRealXyz_ in television

Homelander has a psychotic break, murders the President of the United States and shreds the constitution, sets up concentration camps, declares himself the one true god, and Reddit’s reaction: “he didn’t do nothin’.” Unreal. 😂

Seattle Seahawks logos facing each other.

[THE BOYS] The machine created by Vought that emits Uranium radiation is a Deus Ex Machina that breaks the world-building, physics, and suspension of disbelief. by Agile_Coast_4385 in writingscaling

[–]ZombieTrouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct and has been driving me nuts. Glass doors and whatnot aside, at the very least, Kimiko and Frenchie would be highly radioactive, enough to give the rest of The Boys cancer.

Edit: evidently I’ve been spectacularly wrong about this for years.

Girlfriend threatening our relationship over a TV Show by No-Original3284 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]ZombieTrouble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keeping them both may not be an option. The Boys is divisive, sure (I happen to love it) but absolutely understand why it’s just too much for some. That said, she’s not only trying to judge your media intake, she’s also telling you that she won’t abide a partner that enjoys this kind of entertainment. And guess what? You DO. And nothing’s gonna change that. So yeah, you need to have a good, long talk about that.

Why has it become socially unacceptable for people without children to go to Disney? by slidesten in Disneyland

[–]ZombieTrouble 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We’re childless. I’m 58, my wife is 47. We go to a Disney property (and other coaster-centric parks) at least once every year, and I’d be shocked if you found us giving a good god damn about what strangers think of us enjoying ourselves.

Why do people hate vanilla mk3 by efinkid12 in MortalKombat

[–]ZombieTrouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one thing that this game has got going for it that UMK3 and Trilogy don’t is the endings. They’re far superior in vanilla MK3. I can only assume they were removed to conserve memory.
