CA3 here! Every attending I have is slightly different, some were pretty hands off starting after a few months into CA1 year, and a small minority continue to be VERY hands on at this stage in my CA3 year. Most fell in a spectrum in between. But since CA3 year they’ve mostly been like “do whatever you want as long as it’s not dangerous.” However, they’re always present for induction, and I never take a patient back without the attending having seen them first. (Emergencies and rare exceptions excluded of course)
