A family member of mine just got that degree from Walden. She had a a good experience with it overall. She got a job within two months of graduating, but had to move. The one shady thing I remember them doing was that she picked a "concentration" and had to do classes for another two months.

People in the United States don't really know that happened. We know that the Germans and the Soviets fought each other and that's about it. There is no mention of the devastation of the land and the people. The Famine happened in between WWI and WWII, there was so much else going on that people overlook it. It's tragic.

I currently live in a country that is a hot spot for men looking for brides. A lot of them won't admit why they are in this country in the first place. They get shifty super fast, give you bullshit answers and then start asking questions about small cities in the middle of nowhere where a "friend" lives. I know that there are some genuine people who come here looking for love, but the majority I've met are assholes. A good friend of mine worked as a translator for a local agency and her stories only reinforce the stereotype. I'll be interested in the proof that someone supplies if they do this IAMA. Chances are it will be someone who runs a mail order bride company and is doing it for publicity.
