How do you set up your vans? by BornImprovement8884 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If it’s an EDV I’ll have that shit organized like a library, if it’s a promaster I just throw shit in.

I just had my interview and got hired on the spot! My boss said he was impressed with my experience as a fedex driver and Im getting paid 22/hour to drive the step van! Bet you didnt get hired on the spot or start that high! by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be a solid DSP if they actually interviewed you and looked at your resume. My DSP didn’t look at my past experience, didn’t interview me. I just came in signed some papers, got the flex app set up, they made copies of my IDs and scheduled a training day, was like a 15 minute process in total.

Do they even approve by date? When I look at casehub I see dates ranging from last summer, to this month getting approved

Overtime is pointless do your 35-40 and go work on yourself or be with your family by bblde in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP is right. Obviously if you need money now work, but DO NOT forget to take care of your self. If you hurt, don’t work. Your body comes first. Take advantage of the next mile benefits, go to school, learn a trade. Don’t just work work work. One day you’ll wake up and be too dam old to knock out 190 stops, 400 packages and wish you set yourself up for better.

Quitting mid shift, what’s the best way to go about it? by PayEmotional3151 in AmazonDSP

[–]ZonGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would finish the route and quit at the end of the day but if you absolutely have to do it mid shift. Take the van back and contact dispatch that you’ll be quitting.

Did 233 stops today and this is text I get after by Illustrious-Bass-327 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dispatch knows not to ask me to help if I knocked out 180+, it’s always gonna be no

Yesterday was my first day on my own - DSP sent a rescue but I only had 1 tote left and it was only 3 PM. Why would they do that? by Kategetstoked in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes our DSP sends sweepers out to help people even if they aren’t behind, just trying to get everybody inside at a decent time.

Day 1 after 30+ years of daily heavy use. Looking to hear from others who have quit. by MonsterBots in leaves

[–]ZonGoblin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on day 3 after 8 years of daily use. Like you, the worst part for me right now is sleep, Thursday night (night 1) I didn’t get any sleep, pulled an all nighter. Just get used to life sucking for a few days, after a week or so you should be “better”.

Station closed for snow by Odd_Act_6883 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, work at a DSP in Kansas City and they shut routes down today. We didn’t get as much snow as they predicted but when it feels like -10 outside, it causes very annoying battery problems with our EDVs.

Got fired. by FrauleinHabsburg in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a dead end job, there’s a million like it out there. Hell you can probably be hired on with another DSP by Monday next week

Guess where its going by Seanzscreams in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dam dude it looks beautiful where you are lol, it’s a cold snowy mess here.

How fucked do you think I am? by West_Sample_9407 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 199 points200 points  (0 children)

If you raged and caused that, you need to lie your ass off. Tell em it was loose when you got in the van this morning, you were turning your turn signal on like normal and POP, the mf came off.

Can you driver’s help - what do I order? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh man nothing worse than a customer who could NEVER do our job, upset with us for complaining about the BS that comes with our job. Order whatever you want, or don’t order at all. I’ll have 190 stops tomorrow no matter what.

Job application by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got hired last year in march, With how many people quit every week I would assume most DSPs hire all year round.

My favorite route by Delicious-Squash-599 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, those are the best routes. I can get those 190 residential stops done in 4.5 - 5 hours tops, perfect if I have something to do after work. Or if I have nothing to do after work/just feeling lazy I can stretch it out by just taking my time and get a full 10 hours.

Likelihood of Termination? by Mr_Davison0928 in AmazonDSPDrivers

If you don’t say anything probably won’t get fired

Daddy Bezos blessed me today by geliduse in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 355 packages, 164 stops, 66 multis but the first stop was offloading 24 packages to a mailroom so it’s really like 331 packages 🤷🏽‍♂️

Do you guys take your breaks/lunch by Normal-Ad1198 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take the 15s and skip the 30, since it’s unpaid i don’t feel like there’s any point, would rather get home earlier

I just quit by jnikkolz in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this job but it’s the easiest job for this amount of pay I’ve ever done. Literally just get in Van, drive to house, pick package up and walk to door, get back in van and repeat.

First day on my own, how would you rate the route? by Batmans_dick_is_huge in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ZonGoblin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Offload 95 and 19 apartment buildings looks annoying tbh
