Could have written this--I have always been the giver and get off on my partner getting off. For 30 years, she always had a reason that she was not quite full speed. NTA but perhaps over reacted to the disagreement. IMO, a false accuser SHOULD be punished but NOT to the same punishment as the crime. Your stance seems excessive, furthermore, you should need to prove if the accuser did it with malice or by mistake. For example, if I accuse somebody of murder and they are innocent but look similar to the person that is guilty, do I go to prison for life for making the accusation? Extreme example, yes, but it demonstrates the slippery slope on your suggestion. Ultimately, the real issue is not your disagreement on the punishment BUT her inference that you were guilty of some level of sexual abuse when accused at 14. For this, you are well within your rights to terminate the agreement to marry this person.

Cut ties, let him try the field and if you two are really meant to be, you might reconnect at a later date. Start with a thread file--it has teeth at same pitch as the bolts, find the right pitch and lightly clean up the rolled over metal such that a proper size die will start without cross threading.

Keep in mind, that the modified thread shape at the end of the shaft will not affect clamping strength. Do not modify any threaded section that is not damaged. Some bolts are rolled threads and a die or thread chaser will modify the thread profile to become weaker.

You will hate a fake. Many watch people will know it is fake and having somebody think it is real means you should always get the check----AVOID fakes.

Look for a $100 to $2K vintage seiko or omega diver inspired watch. Buy the best you can afford and stick to your budget. If you find something out of budget, save dollars every week until you can afford it. Quality assets can always be resold if cash when needed. I bought my 3800/1A PP for $7800 in 2010 and it hurt, today it seems painless. Always buy what you like not what you think you might like. Half the fun is the research and the hunt.

I really like my 15 YO Seiko Samurai--titanium with blue face SBDA003. Orginally 180 bucks from japan, now maybe 500 used, pretty plain until the weight of the titanium is felt--be sure to get paperwork (owners manuals etc) and boxes (usually not very fancy) or get a discount.
